Yea that is awesome I think that one is better than the one up here in Seattle just do to the Bay Area setup. Very cool stuff. I served on the Big "E" CVN-65 and Treasure Island NTC down there. Allot of fond memories. Even did some TAD at NAS Alameda. I think all that is gone now. |

Seeing the Coast Gaurd makes me think of my Grandpap. He was in the CG during WW2. He was at Normandy on D day. His duty during the battle was to pull the men that were shot out of the water. He was an excellent swimmer so thats why he did that. My Dad said Grandpap was never the same after he came home from the war. Want to hear something funny though? Great stuff, Edgel. I lived with a woman in California whose brother was a naval aviator. Those guys knew how to tear it up and took great pride in doing so. Always a great time with the most scenic of backdrops. SF (and surrounding) is really a jewel and FleetWeek brings out the best!! |
