Yep. There's another one for the wish list. I've been drooling over that since the first prototype was released. I'm referring to the Magpul Masada(a rifle), not the little stupid black box thingy gun:D

Its not a game.

I can appreciate the technology but for me this is just another concealed weapon with little practical use. You guys doing your jobs have NO need to conceal. Nor does any upright citizen. I guess I don't live in fear of being jacked when on the streets and find the premise ridiculous. I don't need to conceal weapons when guys like you and Chick are watching out for me.thankyou.gif JMHO.

Pax, I think I may have watched a different video than you and confused it with the one that was actually meant for that link.  The Magpul Masada is NOT meant for concealed carry. It's a rifle.  Now if your talking about that little black rectangular box thingy, then yeah, the only reason I can see for that is a 'Discreet' protective security detatchment. That thing would be a waste of my time. If I'm carrying concealed, then it'll be my 1911 and much more easily accesible than that thing. Sorry for the confusion. My fault, not anyone elses.

Look in the video menu off to the right. There'll be one that has Masada in the title. It's an excerpt from Futureweapons and is about 7 1/2 minutes long. There are several others, but the lag time for me was so bad that I only watched that one. The Masada looks to have a lot of promise. Much better design than the FN SCAR IMHO.

Sorry I posted that... crap.gif

I just thought it was funny. I try not to let work get involved with anything that I consider fun.

To me, guns = work , and watches = fun

Don't be. While guns=work for me right now, they're still fun at this point. There was some confusion on my part when I first posted and it led to miscommunication between me an Pax. Basically, we were talking about two different things and it took me a minute to figure out where I screwed up. But, yeah it is kinda funny that little black box thingy. No real self respecting operator would carry something like that as a weapon.

PAX...just out of curiosity, have you ever looked at the facts, as opposed to listening to the anti-gun propaganda.  Fact, in area's where concealed weapons are permitted, there is a reduction in crime because the criminals are not the only ones with weapons...and they do not know which of their victims might have a concealed weapon and shoot back.  To bring back back an old adage that is trite, but true..."Guns don't kill people; people kill people."

More people are killed by kids and old people in automobiles than by guns, by such an overwhelming margin that it is ridiculous, and the licensing laws are equally slack and ridiculous, as compared to the purchase and permit requirement for guns.  I agree that no citizen need an automatic weapon.  No one is going to watch out for you and your family as passionately as you are...I know it is an emotional issue...that's why one needs to look at the facts.

I for one, would not travel by auto cross-country without some reasonable form of protection...out society has allowed the vicious and the pathological to do what they want with little or no repercussion, simply because...well, they had a bad childhood...perhaps, Dad wouldn't buy them a watch!!! :)

If i lived in say Detroit or Philly, i would want one of them.  Pretty darn cool. yourock.gif Though I dont think the ATF guys are too keen on it.  But in all seriousness,  for personal protection a revolver, which is what I carry, is best.... no chance of jamming.  Just MHO.

Ken, again I agree with you.  Just look at the cities like D.C. Where it is illegal to carry.  The thugs do what they want because they know law abiding citizens arent protected.  I do have one question. How would you carry outside of your state?  I thought my carry permit was good in PA and possibly FL only?  I drove from PA to Calgary, Canada with a large sum of money in 06 and was uneasy the whole time without protection.

Now on not so serious a note they forgot to put a place for your backup watch in there. :D

That baby could fit in most ladies purses. I could see either one of my sisters packing one and they do pack. One is a cop and the other a MP's wife. ;)

This wasn't supposed to be a 2nd Amendment thread. (I don't like discussing politics and religion) It was supposed to be funny, at least that's what I thought when I posted it. Being with the Bureau for almost ten years now, we usually get notified of "new" devices when someone comes across them in the field, but as in most cases it's already out on the internet by the time "the field" is notified. I just thought it was funny when the guy mentioned walking the dog.
