I've just got back from my early orientation with every department head.
I've also brought along 7 of my former colleagues from my old job,all of us were given a warm reception by everyone.  The current staff will continue with their current
positions as I didn't want to step on anyone's toes.

As for my own crew, they'll be designated into various departments as
I've mentioned before on Sat.  Once I'm familiar with everyone and procedures
things would settle down a bit.

I am extremely proud of the fact, that I'll be working with some of Vancouver's
Finest  Chefs, Wait-Staff, Hosts/Hostesses, Sales and Catering Department and General Management Team.

I have paid my dues in my career and now in this new chapter.
It's all down to my experience as a former Cook, to show what I am capable of.

I cannot disclose about pay...I will mention that is more than I've ever made.

Thank you to all the 3T members and staff for their
warm wishes in advance.

Sincerely,
Simon

Perhaps one day the both

Korbeks we can bring back...goofy

LOL yea really. I need to get down there soon and visit my kid brother too. And visit a few of my old hang outs. And see how many new resuraunts have poped up. I miss living in Seattle some times. But the slow pace of this small town is nice. ;)

I've been to Seattle many times while driving to Oregon, California or Nevada-- in the past.  Seattle is a  place to dine, due to the fact that there are more
restaurants in that side of the world...compared to Vancouver.

I like to think of it (Seattle) as the Westcoast version of New York City, you have the music scene, you have the art scene and of course The Pike Place Market.

I miss the fish-mongers at The Pike.

Yea I hate that my doctors wont let me drive. So many places in Seattle and King county for that fact to entertain yourself and dine. I lived down there for those who don't know 1969 to 1973 and again 1988 to 1999. Great area. Just got tired of the crowds and noise.

Great place for a cook too. But you seem to be well setup their in Vancouver Simon. ;)

I don't consider myself to be well set-up,however if another
opportunity arises in the next 5 years, who knows?

Yes, I'll admit is nice to have friends in this town.

The way I see it speaking from my personal perspective, the people over here are complainers or
"Wanna-be Actors."

At times it just makes me wanna walk around with duct-tape by my side and shut them up.:D

I guess is pretty much the same everywhere you go.
No, matter if it's a small town somewhere in the States or
a big metropolitan area like Manhattan,Toronto or Montreal. You take the good with bad and separate yourself from the "fakes."

I enjoy the work that I do otherwise I wouldn't of stuck with it for as long as I have for me to get to this point.

Life's too short to be bitter.ThumbsUp02.gif

Good news for you ineed!  I'm lucky enough to visit Vancouver at least once a year (being a former resident).  Do we get to know the location of your fine cuisine so we may sample it?

Well I hope you come back too!  I haven't spent to much time around Crossfield, I'm usually in to much of a hurry to get up by Edmonton.  I imagine a drive from PA would be full of fantastic views.  I keep telling myself I have to visit the 'badlands' again. That would be around Drumheller.  I happen to like that landscape because it's so different.  The foothills around here are great for hiking and camping etc but I like the desolation of arid country for some reason. Hoodoos, and snakes and dinosaur bones and stuff.  Funny that you're from PA, I seemed to have run in to 3-4 people from Allentown in the last month or so.  Maybe it's a sign to go visit.

Well, if you ever do decide to visit PA be sure to let me know and maybe we can meet up.  I am about 60 east of Pittsburgh, a little bit of everything around here.
