I as flipping through the channels tonight and came across Top Gear. He was getting ready to give his "opinion" on the F150. Its the best selling vehicle in the world he says. But why dont the Brits buy it? he asks. As he is driving through a small town he says if he were in the USA the people would be doing things such as "incest", which according to him is the "norm" in the USA. But in the UK they go shopping. Then he finally says the truck is just flat out junk.. worst piece of trash he has ever driven. The Brits are just "too sophisticated" to buy a truck he says. Who the heck does this guy think he is? I am so pissed, I wont waste my time on that show again. |

Scott, Top Gear really is a great show with a lot of tongue in cheek British humor. I haven't seen the episode you're referring to, but I'd be willing to bet that it was just crude humor. The particular host I think your talking about tends to act a bit snooty, but I think it's mostly an act that usually plays well in the show. Give it another chance just to be fair and if you still don't like it that's your call. |

Oh yeh...the Brits....Home of Lucas Electric...didn't they make every one of the falling apart piece of shit cars in the world....Jaquar, Rover, Morris, Cooper, Sterling...none of them would last for more than a couple of days without breaking down until they were bought out by foreign manufacturers. I do love England, but the elitist "Old World" attitude that pervades Europe and the Islands is ridiculous...hey, what have you done for me lately? coyote2.gif |

That was totally over the top and uncalled for. The guy had nothing good to say about the US. If I could get BBC America removed from my programming I would so no more of my hard earned money goes to this joker. |

Ken, I had also written what you did but deleted it. I own an auto repair so I know a little about cars. I havent seen a Jag with a good electrical system. And, the last Rolls I worked on had a GM powertrain. The list goes on and on. Ford sells 104 F series trucks an hour. So, for the volume of trucks produced, the quality is pretty darn good imo. Just imagine the quality of some of the brands you mentioned if they had to produce as many as Ford does to keep up with the demand. I am tired of this America bashing if you cant tell. |

They treat their citizens like S**t and have some of the most stringent immigration laws in the world...yet all they and their sympathizers do is whine and cry about US immigration and wealth. I am so sick of the politicians invested in "what's wrong with America"...I could just puke all over their collective defeatist asses...we are not Europe, we are not Africa, we are not the middle-east, we are not Asia! SCREW THE GLOBAL VIEW....I'M A CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICAyahoo.gif...NOT OF THE WORLD!!!
