Gray Eagle

Turn up your sound! This is powerful, it is hard to get through it with dry
eyes.

This tribute to the Gray Eagles (WWII pilots) was in conjunction with an Air
show in  Ohio called 'The Final Roundup.' It was the last large gathering Of
the remaining P-51 Mustang fighters used during WWII. There were About 120
of the fighters there...all of them in flying condition, of course.

The flyover seen at the end of the video is composed entirely of P-51s
Spelling out the number 51.

It was an event that will never be seen again.

Thanks for that video link... I've seen it before but, for some reason, after this last election, it touched me more. I guess I feel the America that he and his P-51 Mustang "February" fought for is quickly slipping into obscurity.

Sorry if that statement is too "political" for this forum, but my grandfather gave his eyesight fighting to preserve the values this country in WWII... and now we're just giving it away.

Great post Edgel. I've been fascinated with the P-51 since I was a boy. Great to know we've still got our heroes and their equipment and we honor both.
