The wife and I set up our Snow Village for the holidays and leave it up till winter is about over. We dont put it up every year cause its such a pain but, when up its nice to look at. Finally getting around to taking it down today so I snapped a bunch of pics so I can remember how to set it up. Next time I will be adding my Lionel trains to it and expanding it again. The whole living room will be one big village. Enjoy.

Bringing back some childhood memories for me Scott. My parents used to set up something similar except the houses and stuff were cardboard type material. We used to switch up Xmas between different relatives houses every year and they also had the same type of things. My Great Aunt Ralphine had one made all of porcelain. I think the addition of the train set you mentioned would be pretty cool.

Thanks Guys. I think thats the reason why we set it all up, to kinda re- live the old memories. It sucks that we dont have any kids, they would have a ball with all this stuff. These are Department 56 Snow Village. The buildings are made of ceramic. Some use some plastic on them like the Diner. The detail is amazing and they have some pretty cool designs. They even have a Budweiser Brewery.,

Beautiful layout! Brings you back to a time when a man's word was his prize possession and loving your country was not considered "narrow thinking".
