:? Two years in a row.

I just gotta STOP bein a doubter I guess?

This past weekend had quite a few surprise games from some teams that came to play it seems.

Texas beat us by ONE steenking point this year, so I know we can hang with them. Just hope everyone shows up healthy and with their head screwed on straight.

Congrats to ALL the winners!

WVU did well in the BCS this past year - winning the Sugar Bowl. Been away from Morgantown for 36 years - seems like yesterday.

This is hard to understand, but....................

Morganhole and Mongahela county are the fastest growing areas in WV.

Much of it due to high tech programs and employers beginning around Fairmont and moving north towards Morganhole.

I could never figure who the guy was who stood on the side of that friggin mountain and said "What a great place to build a university!"  The place has always operated kind of like a Chinese puzzle with creeks running thru the middle. (NO offense Jacky!)

Anyway, if you have not been there in a few years you would not recognize the place!

It still has to be the MOST depressing spot on earth in mid February, 18 degrees, snow up to your ??, dark and dreary and trying to find a parking place near High Street!

And all those wonderful "out of state" students from JOISEY! :P:P:P:P

Joise - hell - Neeew Yok - and yes-being from Brooklyn (shudder) - I resemble that remark (j/k). Good (enough) inexpensive as schools go - and a great way to get the hell out of the neighborhood! Weather - that's what California's for -don'tcha know!!

Hell - as they told me - I left New York to go to West Virginia - and raised the IQ of both states!!!:P

My academic history at WVU was just short of "Animal House" double probation every spring semister - when the juices started flowin' - if you get my drift...

Got the diploma and commision on the same day - and soon thereafter left my mark in South East Asia...

I've got the WIS real bad since hanging with you guys - and wouldn't have it any other way...

Go Mountaineers :dude:

Did you join in any "Greek" experiences while in Morganhole?

I married a Kappa (class of 69') and just paid the last bill for my daughter's Masters Degree from there. I was blackballed from Sig Eps at Marshall for always being in Morganhole during my freshman, sophmore years. I missed every Saturday "work party" and was caught cutting a 30 foot spruce tree down in Ritter Park during the holiday season with my pledge brother Danny Dantoni. Went directly to jail. NO $200 !

The good ol' days..........................damn lucky I lived thru them I guess.

I used to stay with buddies every weekend at their frat house on High Street when weekending there. Remember having to wear a coat and tie to the football games? AND having to buy your date a corsage or flowers for the game?

HA!  Those days are gone. Must have spent about $15,000 on beer across the Pennsylvania state line. (I'm a Philly native!) Still can taste one of those gyros from The Greeks on High St.!

Back to reality!

I sublet a house on Grant Avenue- remained an independent - had some TKE's stayin' at the house - so I got up on the hill when I needed to. My social activities were with Pershing Rifles from the ROTC side and partied at evenone elses house. Our house on Grant Ave was the scene of some world class debauchery- back in the day...

Still have my State of PA ID card for booze - made many a run up US 119 to Point Marion... for real beer...
