Since this is a diverse group I thought I'd ask you all a question- I've been getting a real ration of grief from friends and family about a pet peeve of mine. I have never been a huge fan of posing for photos at gatherings; but always played along anyway. Lately, however, these pics are showing up on Facebook pages. I absolutely hate that. I'm not on facebook so I hear of this second or third hand & from the posters thamselves. Anytime I raise an objection about it; or try to excuse myself from a picture the S**T hits the fan. Clearly, I have no problem with a certain presence on the internet; or I wouldn't be here. I just feel that I should choose the venue. So, 3T- Am I being an ass, or not? Fire away. You won't offend me. I'm just wondering.

It's just the way it is man. Forums, blogs and now Social Media are big on images. Folks like to see them and many like to post them. No real way to control it. All ya can do is live with it or become a internet hermit and stay away from it all. ;)

I think it's just normal for you to feel this way, Natevan70. Not all people want to see themselves on the internet/fb. I just simply de-activated myself from fb and whenever there are pictures taken, I duck for cover. I guess you just have to be more aware next time.

Oh, I'm aware. I just can't seem to get away with the duck and cover. Maybe it's just the people I know; but reluctance to be in photos seems to offend people. I'm not out to ruin fun for anybody; and if I wind up in the frame by chance- so be it. For some reason though; attempting to excuse my self from the whole process results in hurt feelings. I shouldn't get too excited I suppose- for the most part these are great people. I just think the whole dynamic is a bit odd. Perhaps I'm just too good looking? ![]() Nah. Thanks for the input.
