I am home alone this weekend, so I go to the grocery store last night for some vitals. As I am standing in the checkout line a teenage girl gets in behind me sucking down a huge beverage and noisely chomping on some gum. Then I hear some rock song blast out of her purse. Its her Cellie. :D She blurts out (loudly) WAY! NO WAY! as she discovers the caller is just one isle over. The rest the conversation (sort of) went like this: SHUT UP, GET OUT, NO WAY, ETC.

Rather than walk ten feet over and talk to her friend in the other checkout lane, the two continued this mindless blather as I finished up my purchase and left the building. I'm thinking this must be an indication the end of the world is at hand. :D:D:D:D

I have to say I am not real happy about hearing everyone's "important" converstations everywhere I go.  Sometimes I wonder what people are talking about on their cells for hours a day, but when I hear I decide I don't really want to know. :D :D :D

My dad used to eavesdrop on cell calls with a modified police scanner in the early days, before they were secure.  The sad thing back then was that about 50 percent of the calls were losers cheating on their wives.  I guess mindless teenage cackling is better in a way. :P :D

Rome must fall some how.  Unfortunately the human condition is at its peak when in a struggle and fighting.  Civilizations must ebb and flow.

Aah, cell phones ...how DID we live without them?

Ever been in a restroom when someone, "mid-stream", is chatting away on a cell phone? :?

Cell phones have generated unprecedented levels of boorish behavior :X . Try riding on a New York City bus during rush hour when 2 or 3 idiots are bleating their inane conversations! Grrrrr!!
