My 88 year old neighbor will click on anything that appears, creating havoc and just a general  mess.

What I would like to know is this:  is there any way of getting rid of both the Yahoo and Google toolbars at the top of his screen?  He didn't know what would happen when asked if he wanted the bloody things, so clicked.........arrrrrrrrrgh!!!!!

There is so much cr-p at the top and none of the usual:  File, Edit, View, Favorites, Tools, Help.  These are completely missing.

If anyone can help, I'd really appreciate it.  I saw nothing there that allows for deletion.  Maybe one of you does?   Many thanks in advance.  :)

I assume this is a Windows computer?

Give me a bit and I will pull up how to remove those tool bars fully.

I will let you know sometime domani if it worked.  I will then send my appreciative thanks.

or, simply go into START, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, look for toolbar name, hi-lite and click remove!

BTW...if this is the neighbor that thinks the troops deserve to die for volunteering to fight in Iraq, simply pick up the monitor and crush his skull with it!coyote2.gif

While your in Add/Remove programs, delete anything else that he obviously doesn't use... Weatherbug especially...

Your advice worked.   snoopy1.gif

I had had no idea that that the Google and Yahoo taskbars were considered Programs.
