For those who know me, I'm not much of a "rubber guy" so I had to switch on the bracelet option for my Alpina. Those bracelets are not running the streets and I concluded after some research that contacting Alpina in Switzerland would be the best. The after-sales-manager, Mathieu Ganivet speaks English and French(me too) so communication was smooth. He is really out to resolve any trouble and after an exchange of emails, my bracelet was on it's way directly from Plan-Les-Ouates where the factory stands. I couldn't be more pleased: The bracelet snugs perfectly on the wrist, is comfortable, massive and really beautifull. It add to the luxury effect this sporty watch has: Perfect! A big thanks to Alpina and them staff! Enjoy the pictures! ![]() ![]() Those was taken during the arctic "blue hour"...Explaining the diffused blue effect on the light... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited on Fri Apr 1st, 2011 02:10 pm by Hammerfjord |

Funny! I got mine on the bracelet and had the rubber thrown in for just a few more bucks. Never got a perfect fit without micro adjustments but a real nice solid bracelet for sure. I tried the rubber which is soft and super stretchy and comfy and just have never gone back to the bracelet. May need to revisit the bracelet. Different strokes for different folks. Not a surprising a Viking and a Cheesehead should see things differently. ![]() ![]()

Congrats Will...the bracelet gives the Alpina a nice clean look imho but like Mark I always preferred the rubber strap for fit...![]() Attachment: 03 alpina avalanche.jpg (Downloaded 58 times)

Thanks for the comments guys! Mark, this manufacture model comes only with rubber: I don't know why... It's thrue Mark&Oscar, the bracelet don't offer any micro-adjustment so it fits well or it's too tight/too slack... For me, it fit a tiny slack but on another way, it's winter here and my wrist will be bit wider during the summer so... I don't feel so comfortable with the rubber straps because my skin don't breath correctly under and get sweaty: Not a pleasant feeling to me specialy as soon it get warmblah.gif This is certainly due to the fact that the rubber makes a full contact with the skin and have to be worn tighter than any bracelet for the watch to stay in place...

William, I think the bracelet on your Alpina looks much better than the original rubber. Makes the watch look more robust, IMHO. Nice decision, amigo![]()
