We've got bottles of hand sanitizer around the house and one day I was using some and got it on my dive watch. Specifically on my crystal. I wiped it off right away with a towel. To my amazement, the crystal really shinned. Much more so than just cleaning it with a cloth or a damp towel.

So, I have been using it ever since. I just put a dab on my finger, rub it on my watch crystal, and quickly wipe it off with a terry towel. The crystal shines like crazy afterwards. :D

In fact I use one of the disposable moniter wipes that come on a roll in the pull up container on my watch before wiping down my moniter screen. They take all the oily smudges off and are safe for evan acrylic crystals. And I keep one of Marc's little Island Watch cloths by my computer screen for the same purpose.

I may be wrong but I think Omega's web site tells you to use soap and water...I've been on so many lately that they all blend together.....
