Loving the proportions/dimensions on this one!! Interesting bezel design as well with the integrated minutes & 24 hour markers. I've been looking for a Blue Monstrum or Automatic Sea Angler in the pre-owned market, but haven't found what I'm looking for yet...this could be my first ORSA. |

From what I can see it is 17 mm thick so it is going to be a big beast ! I see dual function Bezel 24 hour GMT inner ring, and Trad Diver outer... and I can't say for sure, but it could be a first? (more knowledgeable dive watch fanatics please chime in). Can't wait to see more ! Jim |

Jim the actual thicknes is 14.55, 17 is bottom lug to top crystal. the dual bezel is very unique indeed , i like it alothand6.gif Berg |

I'm liking what I see! This one looks to have a few more curves that the Angler and Monstrum. The bezel looks really slick too! Really excited to see the next phase of the reveal. |

17mm is great. I like the sketches. The name is catchy, too. If it's a big watch, as big as the other ORSAs, this could also be my first Orsa. |

Martin the Sea Viper looks......perfect.gif If it came out 15 or 16mm thick, I would be okay with that. The bezel looks kewl along with the new case design. |

I am really loving the looks of this new Orsa. I don't think I have ever seen a dual/split bezel before. I cannot wait to see the rest of this design. I can see this being my next Orsa. |

Yea that is different I looked around and could not find such a critter. LOL :D I don't know about the rest of you but think the inner GMT should be fixed while the outer dive bezel rotates. But then with a 2824 that could be tricky. But how would you rotate the functions seperatly? At least a good solid 60 click but a 120 click would be sweet on such a unique watch. ;) |

a question has come up about the dual bezel dive/24hr. and I asked Berg how it would work?....there are 2 choices he would like to hear the members opinions on...1. that the 24hr. bezel would be fixed or stationary while the dive bezel would rotate uni-directionally and 2. they both rotate together...what are the views and opinions of the members ![]() |

Given the movement that is being put into the watch (non-gmt), and the bezel markings (i.e. 13 to 24hrs) as currently designed, the only functional choice would obviously be 1. However, if Berg can change the bezel markings (i.e. 1 to 12 hrs instead), then please go with option 2 - that way, the bezel can be used to track a 2nd timezone. I hope that can be the final design. cheers. |
|||||||||

the bezel in the drawing would be the fixed GMT bezel and if everyone prefers the GMT rotate with the Dive bezel it would be marked 1-12 to track a secondary timezone when not using the bezel for diving hand6.gif |

The dual bezel is awesome!!!!...and a rotating 1 - 12 would be great...a stationary 1 - 24 bezel with no GMT hand is next to worthless. |

Hi Berg, Good new this Sea Viper, count me in too !! From Monstrum or S A, the only thing to improove is the bezel : - Bezel/Dial marks alignment, - Bezel marks need to be sharper and thinner to be really usefull, - general feeling of quality... Thanks !! By the way : it need to have great (& new) drawing on the back !! Last edited on Sat May 30th, 2009 08:08 am by Wallace |

Just an idea : wouldn't it be better to put 1=>60 graduation in the inner and 1-12 in the outer of the bezel ? Minutes graduation is usefull when it could be close to the minutes hand, then it could be use as a chronograph for diving or cooking, Hour bezel is more an indication for a different time zone and is still usable when not so close to hours hand, Just my 2cts ... |

Hi Berg, I've just recently discovered Orsa watches from over here in the UK and in particular the Monstrum which was LOVE at first sight (hope you continue to get these beauties made). I can see you've been doing this for a while now and obviously produce great time pieces. Why is it you're not out there in the mainstream in stores etc? Kindest Regards from the UK Tom |

Sweet looking design. In the other thread Mr. Berg suggested that a PVD model would be an eventuality, but not available right off the bat, in case anyone missed that. With everyone adding suggestions, my humble one would be crown guards. They've come in handy on my Sea Angler.... |

This is good news. I've been wondering if Berg is still going with the split bezel idea or not. Before I decide, I would like to see the drawings/concept of this idea. While it may not be practical, it is a good idea for those of us who love to be different. Hopefully we will have our answers this weekend. |
