Just wondered if anyone here tried to combine the Monstrum with a leather strap?
Would love to see some pictures! I think big divers look cool with leather (especially
the custom made ones).

I've seen a few pics over the last year of the Monstrum on leather and it looks great. I have not seen a diver yet that would not look good on leather.

Might try some searches here. For I forget who it was that post a pic last sporting one on leather but yea make for a good combo. ;)

Here is a pic of my Sea Angler on leather.  I've got a better one at home, with it laid out flat, so you can see the strap better.  I'll post it when I get home.

Cheers,

Yeah, thanks. I've been digging through a lot of pictures lately, but couldn't find one.

I'm thinking about getting one of these for my green Monstrum:

By the way, will any small screwdriver do, or should I get a special one for changing straps?

That is a very nice strap.

As long as the screw driver tip fits the screw slot your fine. and you will need 2 one to hold the other side in place. ;)

Okay, thanks!

I just found a couple of pics with the search function...mistake.gif
I kept looking in the image forum.

Some combos look really nice, so I might try the Steinhart strap.
Not sure when, but I'll post pics should I get it.

I'm still waiting for a 5 mm. thick black leather with white stitch and pre-v buckle.

When it's arrive, I will make a snap shot for you.

Steven Seagal, remember when you attempt a strap change and as Skip said to use 2 screwdrivers, wrap a little of plumber's teflon tape around the lugs and on the lug holes themselves. This will minimize scratches on your watch case or lugs area.mistake.gif

WOW...Dangsoda!!!!!! Hot!!!hearteyes.gifhearteyes.gifhearteyes.gif

That 5mm, black leather, white stitched strap is just perfect.gif

I have been thinking of something along those lines for my Blue ORSA Monstrum.

Really sweet looking combo and the finish on that Pre-V buckle matches so nice to the case finish on the ORSA.

Super nice choice there ThumbsUp02.gif and great inspiration for those of us that would like to shake up the look of the great Monstrum.

Super nice pics by the way...spectacular really...

Very cool looking!!! That buckle is awesome, too! Great combination.

By the way, what would happen to a leather strap like that, if one went for a swim with it?

Wow Hucky...really like that Brown with green stitching as well!Thumbsup3.gif

Is that a 24mm that has been notched to 22mm?

Looks absolutely fantastic on your Green ORSA.ThumbsUp02.gif

Mind if I ask where you got that strap?  I'm really feelin' the custom stitch pattern...complements your Green Monstrum very nicely!!

I figured I'd give the Monstrum on leather a try today, since I have a leather strap from my NFW that is slightly too short, but the Monstrum is bigger lug to lug, so what the heck, let's see how it goes.

First off, it feels really good!  Solid and comfy.

You can judge the look.  I really should have busted out the tripod for these pics.  I seem to be shaky Jake on the camera.

This is my Monstrum on leather...not a great shot but I think a nice thick black strap works well on these.

I just received my leather strap from Paul at Orb-straps that I ordered last Thursday and it is FANTASTIC!
It is ultra tough and looks dead cool on the Monstrum. I'll post some pics next week.

If you're looking for a cool strap, there is another brown one left in sale:
http://orb-straps.com/7.html

I've ordered tons of straps this year, but this is definately the best!
