Received the full resolution scans of the mock ups for the Monstrum from O and was blown away!! Note the repositioning of the date at 4:00 in alignment with the crown. I am having trouble getting you full screen shots but this is the best I could do for the time being.

I'm looking forward to these coming out. They look great!

Is Berg keeping a pre-order list at this point? I'm pretty interested in adding the blue one to my orsa collection.

Thanks Marc for getting up the larger picshand6.gif I can start a pre-order thread here if everyone is interested and members can just add their names to the list for Berg to make note ofwatch2.gifThe blue model will be the 1st to be released so please be patient as all colors will be released before the end of the year but nothing before August at the very leastcool10.gifThe Monstrum is not a LE so Berg will be making plenty (100) of each color but the anticipation is great and sell outs will more than likely happen ...putting your name in this list will assure that Berg will see it and reserve one for you:) Remember this list is for  the Blue version onlyhand6.gif Please do not pm/e-mail Berg or the admins as all Orsa questions are answered here in the Orsa section....TYthankyou.gif

Hi Oscar, your recommendation for the 9G I picked up was great, all I 've read about the Sea Anglers and Orsa's in general has been great. Unable to pick up this years Sea Angler so would like to start my Orsa collection with a Blue Monstrum. Please put my name into the hat for a Blue!!

So is this an "official" reservation list that berg will use to fill orders when the blue Monstrums come in, or do I need to contact Berg through his web site and place my order ?????

I just want to make sure I get one.

Yo Ted... this list is just for the first Monstrum to go into production which will be the blue. Per a vote on 3T, green will follow. Sorry pqal, but you're gonna have to wait a bit... I'm waiting myself for green... 3T green, that is...

There is a list posted somewhere?  I thought it was only something Berg and Big O had.   I had contacted Berg to be added to the preorder list months ago, but had not heard of any posted list yet.

Welcome to 3T. Just as an FYI, the green Monstrum will be next up, and I imagine we'll be starting a list for that soon after the blue is released. Keep checking back and join in the conversation if you're so inclined.

Again, welcome to 3T, Thom!!

No need to apologize. We're glad you found us and have an interest in the Monstrum. Just didn't want you to be set up with unrealistic expectations. They will come and they shall be grand!!toon1.gif

Hi everyone

My first post here - found the forum trying to discover why the Orsa site is down. Have just bought a silver sea angler (#25) and love it! I also love the look of the blue Monstrum, so if it's ok to put my name down for one with my first post (and if there are any left)..... please can I reserve a Blue Monstrum?

Thanks

Richard

Hasn't come to that yet but probably will soon though I might hazard a guess that when the Monstrum Blue is ready it'll be pay up time.

Should see a post in this section and you'll probably receive an email PayPal invoice or a PM from 3T.

Just my speculation.

And welcome to 3T!

That's true but not all the colors will be released at the same time...only blue to begin and once they are in many who are on the fence will be jumping in....can you say Feeding Frenzy!:D

I'm not sure you can only go by this forum. I was on the list for two blue before I joined the forum.

But it sounds like they'll be enough to go around. smile8.gif

I thought the pre order list was where Berg was going to go to offer the Monstrum. I did not see anything within the order list that indicated we had to be actively posting to purchase?

Not all members are as active as the few, and for this they should be penilized? If this is so, then it does not appear to be entirely fair!

Thoughts?
Cheers

Hiya Mike

With no disrespect whatsoever to anyone who reads this, IMHO only!

Nope, no special requirement to preorder a Monstrum - other than finding the place (here) to get one, as far as I can see. Monstrums are not limited editions. Listers on preorder do not get cheaper prices than the general public will pay later. Cost to listers is the same as for the general retail public. But preorders like the ones on this forum are necessary for companies like Orsa to gauge the likelihood and effectiveness of going into production. I have never seen anyone who occasionally posts here on 3T "refused" - rather they have all been welcomed to the blue Monstrum preorder list and made to feel like they are part of the bigger family. As for not selling a watch to a person who hasn't posted enough messages on a particular forum - my humble opinion is that LE's and forum-specific models are always sold to a select few, and it has never bothered me (unless I have been too slow, or haven't had the spare cash to proceed at the time!) The Monstrum is different - it isn't an LE or forum-specific, and it will be released in a multitude of coloured dial models to suit all tastes. If you want one - than I reckon that, with patience, you will get it and others like it in any other colour you want. It doesn't look like any genuine buyers will miss out - and you can't get much better than that! You are on exactly the same list as we all are, at present.

Berg from Orsa and every one of the other guys I have spoken with/written to for help/followed up with on this forum have been welcoming, professional, honest, and generous with their information. That makes the way in which sales of the Monstrum are now being consucted, pretty fair IMHO.

Rock on guys, I am still waiting and still excited about the Monstrum - for no reason other than enjoying being one of the first.

Cheers! IanM

Thanks for you kind words Ian,

I was only commenting on 3Ts posting on the 18th of this month. Must have been tired when I read the posting and possibly misunderstood the context.

You are absolutely correct in your statements, all my dealings with members here and Berg in particular have been just fantastic.

Sorry to all for my less than positive posting. If admin would like, please remove as it does not reflect the great atmosphere here at 3T.

Cheers
Mike

Hi everyone

I noticed that Berg has posted that the watches will be shipping to him early November. I was wondering whether those of us on the list will be asked to pay? Will there be a notice here? or will Berg send a Paypal invoice to us?

Can't wait!

Rich,

I am going to bet you'll be receiving a PayPal invoice directly from Berg. Happy days ahead, no?
