For me that would be Ensure and has been for 3 years now. I like many of the flavors but chocolate and pecan are my favorites. :)

http://ensure.com

3 years ago i had run out of ideas for a diet and doctors were wanting to fix the problem with surgery. I said hell no!

A good friends mother told me about Ensure. I said why not it dose not taste to bad. Acquired taste I guess. Some of it I did not care for in the beginning. LOL

But I would diet and loose weight and then gain it back plus some a few months later. Holidays were a excuse to pig out.

March 2005 I was 5'11" 255 pounds and had rather high blood pressure and closing in on diabetic sugar levels. Then at snack time at home in the evenings I would grab a Ensure. After a year i was down to 240 pounds. With no bounce back. a +/- 2 to 3 pound was about it. So went to one in the morning and one in the evening and just moderated my eating. Ate what I wanted. Today I am 216 pounds and my blood pressure is way down and blood sugar is normal.

Snack and possible life saver too. Who woulda thunk it huh? :D

Little happy to report update. Some of ya may recall I went back into the 220's range over the Summer again. Well September I went to 2 ensure drinks a day and back to moderation eating. Today on the scale I was 212 pounds. The lightest I can recall being this time of the year in over a decade. Feels so much better. :) ;)

OK guys I can now say I am addicted to Ensure. My local grocery store started selling the dark chocolate. Oh man if I had no self control I'd drink a 6 pack a day. But keep it at 1 or 2 sometimes 3. LOL :D

Awesome job Skip!  hand6.gifhand6.gif  Sounds like your doing a great job at getting back into shape.  I understand all too well how difficult it can be to get back in shape.  Keep up the great work, cheers.

I just like proving doctors wrong. They said I would just have to live life as is. I may not be getting better but I can still try to do better. In the early 1990's I was told I'd be in a wheelchair by 2000. It is parked in a spare room collecting dust. :D

Skip, my doctor went through the roof when he saw my lab tests for my cholesterol and triglycerides. He gave me some medicine and put me on a nothing fried, no sweets diet. I lost 5 kgs in a month (whole of August) with no effort. I tried Ensure but I'm lactose intolerant and the effects on me were no goodsubtlelaugh.gif.

Try the diet plan someday. Stay away from the burgers and fries.

Stay away from those statin drugs.  They put me on one of them(Tricor) for my tricglycerides and they really put a hurting on me.  I Quit taking the pills and just now watch what I eat. :dude:

OK, copy that, amigo. Thanks.

I tried one statin brand but it just gave me vertigo. I was given another brand, in a milder dose, and it's ok. Will really watch what I eat....and drinksubtlelaugh.gif. Thanks again.
