Hi guys! Was back from a 5 days offshore formation yesterday night and noticed that Kazim had freshly posted pictures of his new 1500 bezel on Facebook. I guess that you have to be "friend" with Kazimon´s site or logged on FB to see it... I like the vintage look and this bezel fits the 1500 case perfectly I would say, giving more thickness to the watch also: Judge by yourself! Seems to be an acrylic insert to me... http://www.facebook.com/kazimon |

Would love to see the new Kazimon 1500 Bezel William! As one that continues to refuse to get a facebook account, I guess I won't be able to see it until Kazim (or someone else) posts it here on the Kazimon thread here at 3T!!! ![]() |

Ok guys! Since some of you don't want to be on FB and still want to see the pics, I stole them from Kazimon's page: I hope he will forgive my intrusion. ![]() The inserts seems to be in domed acrylic. Might be that Kazim is very busy lately and didn't take the time to post those everywhere... Anyway: I can't and will not guarantee that those bezels are disponible at once as they may just be prototypes under feedback testing! So please: Come with your impressions and help Kazim to be motivated! Thank you! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Cool William...Thanks very much for posting up for us non-FB's!!! ![]() I agree with you...looks like some sort of prototype bezel using domed, black acrylic (looks too rough in finish to be ceramic to me). I'm thinking this is a prototype effort for the possibility of doing a domed, all-sapphire bezel insert (maybe with luminous markers and numbers!)...which would look really cool IMO. ![]() The smooth, non-marker bezel makes me think that he is considering doing this bezel in Ceramic with lume at the pip for the smooth one and lume on the markers/numbers for the other (That would look really cool to ![]() Gives a very different look to the Kazimon 1500 for sure. It might be just as it is: As a Blanc-Pain 50 Fathoms vintage version without the varnish finish...? Note also that all ceramic bezels you see on affordable watches are made in Hong-Kong and Kazimon has everything made in Germany. My guess is that a low number production in ceramic, as there was about 100 pieces of the steel version 1500 ever made, would be a very expensive part if made in Germany... Yes, you are probably right on regarding the no on 'ceramic' William. The more I think about it, a highly domed bezel like that would be extremely difficult (expensive) in ceramic. The acrylic wouldn't be a deal breaker, but would collect scratches and dings easily...I would prefer to see a full all-sapphire insert with lumed markers and numerals, but either looks good, and really changes the look of the 1500. The matte finish may be an attempt to keep things looking "seriously german" Last edited on Thu Oct 13th, 2011 03:17 pm by stew77 |

I don't really know Chris: Right now I'm just speculating... Let's wait for Kazim to drop by and give the final verdict. He told earlier that he had been very busy the last months and needed a break so maybe he just threw the bezel pics on FB and took the first plane to Hawaï...? ![]() ![]() |

Oh man...that pic is perfection William...we have been discussing snow skiing versus tropical/Carribean vacation options for this upcoming winter season, and pics like that swing my vote way over to tropical/carribean side. ![]() |

The bezel looks more bulbous than usual. To me that's a big plus sign for the total look.![]() |

This looks really great! I'm wondering if it's metal and not acrylic. I'd like to see one in 120 click, anyone else? |

sorry for late reply.... but those bezels are no prototype. but as usual i did not have time to produce a lot. they are not done out of acrylic, those are done from aluminium! again i am sorry if i dont post often... but i do most work by my own and sadly my time and money is limited.... if that would be different i think i would come up every day with a new watch :-) Last edited on Sat Oct 29th, 2011 03:02 pm by Kazimon |
