Where? Manhattan? If so, where again?

Affordable and Manhattan generally are not used in the same sentence. It's the same island where the median price of a one bedroom apartment topped $1,000,000 last year

it dont need to be in manhattan. but it should be somewhere where i can easily use a taxi to get to some interesting places like time square, etc.
also i need to go to this place, two times during my stay: American Conference Center, New York, NY 10017
which i think is in the middle of new york.

also, maybe you have some tips for any shopping outlet stores etc.

thanks for any infos.

Woodbury Commons for outlet shopping, about one hour from NYC, there is a bus that goes there. 220 stores- Gucci, Polo, Nike, Armani, Coach, Chanel, Saks, Fendi, etc

That's the only outlet in the area, besides Pocono Pennsylvania (about 1.5 hours)

Your destination is in Manhattan, in a pretty prime area. I'd expect to pay about 3 or 400 per night in the area. You may have to go to Queens if you want to spend significantly less, but that will be a 30 minute cab or subway ride.
