[GGD]  Thanks!

The blue dial face that you have really does go through a nice spectrum of colour change from blue to a very dark/navy blue.  hand6.gif

[magpies14]  I'm sure when your 2 PVD watches arrive, you'll be really impressed at the quality.  Since you also have lumed markers on the bezel too (?), I think you'll be quite happy to see that is actually pretty bright considering that it looks grey under normal lighting.

#38 arrived in Canada!  The package was very well done and the presentation of the watch is incredible.  I wanted the ultimate diver's, i have it.   The fit and finish of the watch is amazing. The blasted case and bracelet look silky and is very pleasant to the eye.  It's my first blasted watch and certainly not the last.  I taught the Marathon J-SAR was heavy, well the See Devil on bracelet is heavier!!!  Beleive me when i say heavy, i mean heavy.  It's a brick attached to your wrist.  I would say that if one would dive with those to watches at the same time, he would stay in the bottom of the sea ;).  The watch runs fast but it's no supprise since i've never seen a Miyota movement running slow.  At +- 8 sec a day for the last two days, it's a nice surprise for me because the two other watches i have with this movement, where +25sec a day out of the box which way too fast for my taste.  Fortunately, it's an easy movement to regulate.  My only complaint would be that the bezel on my watch is stiff , i think i will get better with time but for now, the bezel is impossible to turn under water unless you use gloves.  Anyhow, for the price, i'm positive that this watch is the best deal on the Internet and for sure, not my last BENARUS.  Great job Ralf!!!  Here are a few shots of that beauty!

rvs1111 wrote: Hi,

This is my first post on 3T and I figured I start it off with my impressions of this excellent watch from Ralf!!!

I was actually surprised to find out that my Sea Devil arrived today.   I was figuring it'd arrive some time next week  :)

I went for the Sea Devil PVD with Orange Dial + lumed markers on the bezel.  Although the markers on the bezel are not that apparant as with white markers, but I sort of like this muted look as it reminds me of my Hamilton BelowZero.

I was surprised to see the that the orange dial actually looks more like an anodized orange finish, as opposed to a very solid/matte like look that seems to be shown by most pictures for this colour of dial on the Sea Devil.    The pictures I quickly took when I got my watch (with my cellphone) is no different, and does not begin to show the subtle beauty of this anodized like finish in the orange dial.

Ralf if you are reading this, thanks for this piece of beauty!   yourock.gif

Whoa, that lumed bezel looks killer!!  Does it stay bright for very long?  I remember Ralf saying initially there was a problem with the lume for the bezels, so I'd be interested in knowing how long it lasts.

PVD/Yellow dial arrived today and it is awesome....I may swap dials with my SS/BB black dial...the yellow is sweet and in sunlight has a nice radiant/anodized glow...almost gold/yellow in color perfect.gif

Ya ... I really like the lumed bezel on the SD  :)

[Bloom]
I would say from quick observations that the initial brightness of the lume on the bezel is good for maybe the first 15 minutes or so.  After that you would have to stare at it for a few seconds to see the lume.

However, from what I noticed last night after my watch saw about 15min. of daylight, (then left to sit in the washroom),  the overall lume on the bezel lasted just a bit over an hour from what I would say is 'usable'.  It was at the point where I couldn't see the numbers clearly on the bezel, as they looked like blobs of lume at best, but the markers at the 5min. intervals were noticeable enough if I stared at the watch for a few seconds (like 4-6 seconds I would say).  The dial face numbers and dial hands were still very good at this time.

Actually, out of curiosity to see how much lume was still available on certain parts of the watch, I did take a quick peek again about 1.5 hours later.  The bezel lume was all but gone at this time, the numbers on the dial face were a lot dimmer, but were still identifiable/readable if you stared at it for a few seconds.  The dial hands were glowing a lot better than the numbers on the dial face of course.  I would guess that the dial hands seem to be about double the brightness of the numbers on the dial face at this point in time.

I never went back to see when the dial hands actually became to dim to be usable though.
