There seams to be some confusion as to the color of the markers for the Moray dials. From speaking with Ralf, currently all of the Moray dials are scheduled to have the C3 lume for the markers.

I thought that the sea foam and perhaps the green dial may look a little better with a white marker sort of like Ralf's original cad drawing verses the photos that were posted.

Ralf said it was okay for me to start a poll to see what 3Ters would like, so here it is.

On a whim I also added a category for the sea foam dial color and the british racing green. Select those options to determine which dial you think would look good with your lume selection.

Very cool that Ralf authorized a poll... clearly, my preference is BGW9 for both seafoam dial, and british racing green... I have pre-ordered the seafoam, but have not yet placed my second order for british racing green, because I am waiting for confirmation re the lume color.

I just took out my Boschett Cave Dweller which has a white lume and compared it to my Seiko Black Monster that has a very greenish C3 color.  The Cave Dweller is, in my opinion, much nicer and more classic than the Seiko.  The indices / markers jump off the dial when they are bright white.  I like the Seiko, but compared to the Cave Dweller, there's no comparison... Cave Dweller is classic.

Conclusion -- BGW9.  and according to the lume chart, it is only slightly inferior to C3.  I look at my watch all day long, only once or twice at night.  So for me, the day time view is more important.

actually you would want a dive watch that has super bright lume in dark conditions as do many who want the same for night vision...the color of the markers/arabics during the day depends on the application and type of the lume....the Monsters use a special Seiko lume which is owned and used only by Seiko... as the CD uses BGW9 which is actually blue at night, much softer than C-3 but long lasting if double applied and a great choice....I have many watches that use C-3 including Ralf's Barracuda and Sea Devil which during the day have stark white arabics and markers in the day and bright green when in full lume....my favorites are the watches that lume all day once they are charged in sunlight....so what I'm getting at is the Moray Eel itself is bright green in most pics I have seen and C-3 would be a more fitting testament to the name imho :)

Oscar,

I appreciate the info... so if C3 is white or off-white during the day, and not greenish like Seiko lume, then C3 should be good.  The problem I have with Seiko Black Monster is that the dial has brite white markings for seconds, and greenish lume all on flat black... and the Seiko combination mixing brite white and greenish lume is a bit of a clash in my opinion.  That is why many modifications and replacement chapter rings on the Seiko Monster seem to be popular.  But this is getting off topic.

Again, I appreciate the info... and as I've previously posted, I trust that Ralf and Steve Laughlin and other experts have a better design sense.

I agree as well, The BRG dial with C3 is a perfect combo, it is what I would order as soon as we have it confirmed from Ralf, along with the usual Orange minute hand I have on my Cuda and Devil just to keep with the Benarus theme I've collected thus far. Keep up the good work guys!!!
