Ralf:  Would you ever consider making a diver out of tungsten carbide?  It would be the ideal diver as it would be very scratch resistant.  I'm on the waiting list for a tungsten carbide watch that's coming out this June.  The only thing is that it's not a diver.  I would definitely put money down for a Benarus made out of tungsten carbide.  You get the styling and quality of Benarus with the beautiful color of tungsten.  And the watch would be almost scratch proof!snoopy1.gif

What about the DLC option Ralf mentioned might be possible for the Megalodon? Sounds like that is very scratch resistant. Tungsten carbide is used for cutting tools, would probably be a real pain to make a complex shape out of, like a watch case and bracelet!

Yet a few watch companies have already done it. But it's not cheap.

I guess DLC is good too, although I don't think DLC is as tough as tungsten carbide.

But it would be about half the price. :) Unless you use off the shelf already made case and materials but still pricey. DLC is very good. Scratch resistance level is very high. ;)

I have already asked for Tungsten, maybe I am wrong but I was told it is always shiny you cannot brush. I think that is right because how will you brush a metal that is scratch resistant?
The DLC is sure an option, but I first want to know the exact price.
My latest info is that the $130 is for one piece and not for one watch. If that is correct I guess it is not very interesting.
But I can always offer even if it is expensive, that is not the problem.
 Lets wait till next week
than I should know more.

Ralf what watch are you considering with the tungsten case? I guess it would have to have a tungsten bracelet as well right, call it the Benarus Indestructo.....Dan

I had no specific case in my mind , but when I heard it is always glossy I lost the interest. I see that not many are interested in a glossy case finish and I cannot order only a few.
