After the long wait of 2 years, caused by many changes we made until I was satisfied, it is ready nowsnoopy1.gifand I am very  happy with it

I hope the pics say more than my words.
But her some specs:
1000m or as we say in Germany 1km
antimagnetic 70.000A/m
double domed sapphire
automatic helium valve

ETA 2824-2
diameter 44mm
 height 16.5mm
bracelet 22mm
LE 30pcs

20 in blasted and 10 in PVD

Introduction  price $1250 plus tax and shipping
PVD watches are $1350 plus tax and shipping

Available with or without orange minute hand.
I know that is more pricey than I have ever been but all made in Germany was also much more for me.
The will be the only 30 and I will never make them again.

Congratulations Ralf 2 years sounds like a labour of love. I'd love to get one but just a little too rich for me unfortunately...

On the plus side this bad boy arrived an hour ago

I call it simply  1km , have never seen another one who wrote this instead of 1000m so it is unique enough.
I am sorry that I showed to you ;)
I thought you like to see some thing new.mistake.gif
Really sorry

But I am glad that you like it

My goodness Ralf!!  hand6.gifhand6.gifhand6.gif

That is an AWESOME piece of Benarus!! I feel the itch to get one but alas the price (which i am sure is great value) is out of my budget  :(

Maybe if i sell of some of my tunas or you allow installment payment? ;)

Well done on serving up such a beauty Ralf! No apologies needed :)

I Ralf
Congratulation for your last creation:It's very very beautiful.
It has only a "big" problem:it's much expensive!!!
But is a correct price for the tecnical feature that it has.
Lucky who will buy it!!!
Best regards
Omar

I think this is a great watch, Ralf, and a good value. Congratulations! It makes me that much more impatient for the Megalodon (still targeting 2500m?). Any pictures of the 1km PVD version yet?

BTW, I am wearing my Casio G-Shock today, and it looks so puny compared to my Benarus watches! My arm feels much lighter and I need to be careful not to accidentally smack myself in the face. mistake.gif.

Ralf,

The 1km is truly an awesome watch - now all I need is a second job to fund my watch habbit!  Wish I could get one but it will have to wait until someone sell's theirs - if ever that is.

Congratulations!

Yeah, I wish I had something valuable to flip :P

I guess I'll have to be happy with my Sea Devil that's on it's way.  Should be here by the end of the week.  Then, the Sea Devil will be the most valuable watch I own  :D

They are coming from Fricker. They do the best work but do nothing fast. Do not be surprised if it is Fall before we see them. ;)

Different taste for different folks. I myself think it rocks. I just like the over all design allot. :)

So all who ordered one here don't get to down about thinking it may be Fall before this shows up. A couple little birdies told me this should be going out from Fricker in the near future. So if all goes well before July we may have our 1km.

Jayo, Contact Ralf at (rs@benarus.com) and if Ralf won't ship you one, you could probably drive up to Fricker's factory in Germany and knock on the door and pick it up. I don't think they are far from you. Just kidding, I had a lot of fun when I drove from Zurich into Germany, I recommend the experience to anyone who visits there.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Regards,
Steve Laughlin

Thanks for reminding us Oscar,,, it is torture:)

I know all too well they are stilll available:) I keep eyeballing them on the site...When I first found out about Benarus, I wanted either the Baraccuda or the 1 KM... the first is no longer for sale and hard to grab used... the other well is out of my price range...wish it was $700 ish... It is a wonderful watch though!!hand6.gif to Ralph!

Hello everyone. This is my first post here, although I have been lurking a for a while.  I have been smitten by the 1 KM in blasted for a while, but looking at the Benarus website it appears that they all sold out except for two units in PVD. I emailed Steve about it, and he informed me that there might be a couple of watches left in Germany. So I contacted Ralf, (Benarus is great at comunicating, by the way) and long story short, I just pulled the trigger on a blasted with orange minute hand.

I'm pretty stoked, and for anyone interested, there should be one left in blasted in Germany.

Mike
