Got my SD today and very,very pleased with it. I have 2 Morays and a Megalodon on order but could not wait and ordered a SD to go with them. It is a really well made watch but what takes it from an excellent watch to outstanding in a league of its own is the quality of the watch pack with the extra straps, clasps and tools. I have a few expensive watches but none of them came with all this. Also having the blue stitching on the box and strap to match the watch face is genius. Great watch, great package and great customer service. A lot of companies could learn a lot from Benarus. I will be adding the quartz GMT to my collection as well. Thanks Ralf, Steve you guys are doing a really great job. |

I am waiting for my Sea Devil now. Should be here in a day or two.  Customer service with Benarus is really top-notch. I've had questions for Steve and Ralf over the last week or so prior to my purchase and every time it felt like they were actually interested in answering my questions--they weren't firing off just one line or two to get me out of their inbox. The experience of owning a Benarus has begun and I don't even have the watch in hand yet!  Thanks also to all the great staff of 3T for creating and maintaining this site. If it weren't for them, I would not have found Benarus. |

Congrats Wozza on snagging a Sea Devil. I am getting the Orange dial but cannot make up my mind on brushed or blasted. I would like to hear from the others their opinion and thoughts about this. BTW, what version SD did you get Wozza? |

Hi TopGun, I personally took a blasted SD with black dial, It was my first bead blasted watch and I wanted one for longtime, no regrets so far. Actually i like it so much that I ordered the Megalodon in blasted finish as well. It's IMHO the best finish for diver's watch since it doesn't create reflections underwater that could attract hungry big fish :P and it has a very smooth look. If you do not have one yet, i would go for it. I find it not bad on scratches either. My bracelet as some shiny lines but nothing major and the watch itself is still in perfect condition. If you are hard on your watches, the brushed finish might be a better option for you because easier to fix if scratched. To my knowledge, to fix a bead blasted finish, you have to re do the whole watch. I took the Moray in brushed finish for a more vintage and dressy look but it's a different animal. The SD and Mega are real tool watch and therefore, blasted is the best finish IMO. Hope it help! Daniel |
