315 lbs. (11 boxes) are on a DHL truck in Kansas City, heading to my location. I am writing address labels right now to speed up delivery to you.

Please keep in mind that the bulk watches coming to Ralf and I are the ones that we (Benarus) are paying the taxes on and also the ones we are including the free leather strap. The watches that shipped directly from the factory did not come with an extra strap and the customers were responsible for their own duties.

Most of our customers are in the US and EU, so we did this to help out our friends in the EU with taxes and make things simple for shipping in the US, but I have gotten some negative response from people because some people in Canada and Asia have gotten their watches before US customers.

Because of this we will change the way we ship in the future.

I look forward to shipping the Morays this week to all our great customers!

Steve

Thanks for the update Steve! Won't be too long now... Sorry to hear there was negative feedback, that is too bad. After all someone has to be THE FIRST one to get one. Thanks for all you and Ralf have done to get them out!

As long as tax is only paid once on the watch, this method is clearly superior in that it allows more simple distribution than the complexities of having multiple parts (case, box, different straps, watches) shipping in from multiple locations.

Personally, as long as I receive my watch in a timely matter, why would I ever care that somebody else got theirs a week before me?  There are bigger things in life.

Booooooo! to the critics. It must be a logistical nightmare WITHOUT worrying about who is gonna complain, to get all these orders correct and shipped to the appropriate individuals. Ralf has ALWAYS done a stellar job of staying organized ... better than I ever would have, and for his hard work he gets nastygrams from ppl who think they should not only get what they ordered, but be first as well :X .

I'll enjoy mine when it get here.

Steve,

I'm sure it's here somewhere, but what method of shipping is being used for US customers?

I am already worn out! I hand wrote all the shipping labels this morning, then set up a temporary warehouse work space, then moved the 11 boxes into the work area. I have opened a few and they look great. I am now starting the process of sorting everybody's watch out for shipping. I don't think it will take that long and I will work through the night to get it all done!

It won't be long now. I totally agree with the members regarding negative feedback. Everything Steve and Ralph have done for us, and then to have negative feedback is pretty lame. As the old saying goes, "You can't please everyone al lthe time." I would consider myself pretty darn lucky if I was one of the first. I've waited this long and a few more days will not hurt me. Thanks for the update Steve!

I will say we had a lot of setbacks and we learned a lot of valuable lessons that will help us be better in the future... ok, back to shipping.

WOW! what a coyote2.gif . Well you can not please all of us. I hope that the new way that you and Ralf devise for the shipping does not make it worse for those of us that did not complain.  Anyway, it is now time to start partying party.gif because the watches are now in. All of you that received yours early should be VERY HAPPY and stop giving up grief!crap.gif.

THANKS for all that you and Ralf have done.

I just shipped over 50 of them... I was not popular at the post office, the clerks like me, I am in there all the time.... it was the customers in line behind me that were upset and saying things.. I just didn't look at them and the clerk said he never looks at them either as they cuss and mumble dirty words at us, we both grinned as he processed them all one at a time... when he was finished, I just turned and made a quick exit, not looking at any of the angry crowd.

Whats up with that?:?  Is it a mortal sin that owners in Canada and Asia get their watches before US? Or is it just plain jealousy?

Will waiting an extra week or two for the Moray have a negative effect on their lives? I am sure most buyers of the Moray are WIS and have a few other watches lying around. ;)

Man we WIS are a weird bunch of people :D.  As far as i can tell, Benarus (Steve and Ralf) are doing a great job with the Moray.

PS: I am from Asia and have not ordered the Moray (so far) :)

Yep its a joke that some have moaned, Steve and Ralf are so customer focused its untrue - applaud them cos there arent many who give updates, input on designs etc etc

Think Doxa, think Ocean7 for gods sake...........

You wont get better than Benarus.
