I realize that the first position with the crown unscrewed is for hand winding the Sea Devil and Moray but is there a "stop" or does it just keep spinning? After 40 twists I stopped as that is about where my totally unrelated Omega SMP comes to a stop. |

It's best not to give more than 10-12 laps. And give them slowly. Greetings. |

The Miyota movement has a clutch system so you can not overwind it, so wind at will as there is no amount of turns that will hurt it....on a winder you want to set it at 650 rpd. hand6.gif...as far as a Omega SMP coming to a stop after so many winds....never heard nor witnessed that with any of my Omegas or really any of my automatics? :D...that's sounds more like a mechanical movement ie; Unitas 6497 or any other mechanical hand cranker hand6.gif |

I had the same questions and found the link to the movement instructions: http://www.citizen.co.jp/miyota_mvt/download/pdf/spec_6T51_8205_8215_821A.pdf Hope this helps. It seems that the most accurate performance comes from hand winding daily.... |
