Well...huge congrats to all you lucky 3T'ers who took advantage of the Megalodon preorder and are receiving them now.

I am drooling over all the great pics...Benarus definitely hit another one out of the park!!  Such a cool and spectacularly executed piece!!!

I stayed away from this one due to the advertised dimensions, writing it off as definitely too big for my average 7.25" wrist...but while the pics I've seen show that the Mega is definitely a beast (with very prominent thickness), it seems to wear fairly easy in most of the wrist shots I've seen.

My critical dimension for wearability is the lug-tip to lug-tip dimension...realizing that the Megalodon case dimension is 47mm and the bezel dimension is 49mm, could someone measure the lug-tip to lug-tip dimension on their Megalodon???

I may have to consider the series 2 Megalodon if it is not too extreme!!!

Thanks,

Chris

Chris it measures 55.20mm from lug to lug...but due to the lug design and the fact that the bottom of the lugs is exactly in line with the bottom of the caseback it does not look nor feel as wide imho....fits like a glove.hand6.gif

Oscar...thanks so much for this info!!!thankyou.gif

Oh man...the Mega is definitely on the must add list now!!

I generally don't like to exceed 56mm on the lug-to-lug dimension with my average sized wrist (and only one of mine exceeds this at 57mm...the Lagunare).

I guess I will have to be on the lookout for one in the aftermarket or wait for the Series 2 in 2010.

Thanks again amigo...I know you are enjoying yours!!!

Chris if you are comfortable with the Lagunare then you should be OK with the Meg. The Meg is a little more stout and taller but real close in feel to the large proportion you find on the Glycine.:D

I have a couple of Breitling Super Avengers that are listed at 47mm and the Mega seems to wear a bit smaller.  I will get some pics up soon to compare.

Pax and BlueViper...thanks for the additional comments and detail...very helpful info as always...and Congrats on both of yours!!!

This is great to hear...it's just sad that I may have to wait for Series 2 to check it out in person :(...will continue to commit watch envy against you guys and enjoy your fantastic pics!!!

Blue - always great to see some comparison shots with the other "Large" pieces out there.

And then, I have smaller wrist than you and love it.  Like Oscar said, it has unique lugs and for that reason, it just sits on your hand...You will like it Chris, it wears like no other watch I can think of.  My Nav-b at 48mm seem to be larger than this.  You just have to get use to the extra weight because, believe me, that , you will feel it!  :D  Mine, with two links removed (it's a bit tight but one is too loose), weight an honorable 325 grams!!!:shock:  Ouch!!! My arm hurt...I have a cramp...I'll be backsubtlelaugh.gif

Daniel, put the diver clasp on it, you can fine tune the fit perfectly and you will b able to take 3 more links off....makes it a hair lighter woohoo.gif

I know Nick, but I love the butterfly clasp too much, so I will suffer a bit more ;) If i take one or two pounds though, I will have to change it! subtlelaugh.gif
