After numerous calls to fedEx from me and form Steve as well as to U.S. Fish and Wildlife here is where we stand per e-mail from Steve

"I talked to Fed Ex today. Fish and game has given the OK, but now customs wants me to fill out all the details, how much the movement cost, the case, the strap, the box... a breakdown of costs. And I did that and faxed it to her, but she said it did not match the $650.
So I told her $650 is what you paid Benarus, not what Benarus paid the manufacturer. I said if the movement and case is $650, that is not accurate. $650 is retail, and not what was paid to the fctory which shipped them out.
I called her, but I think she already left for the day. Who ever is at customs has some kind of problem and is making things difficult for all of us. I will call the fed ex lady again in the morning."

It just doesn't make sense unless its an East Coast/Left kinda thing???

I go pick mine up tomorrow at the FedEx office....I have been out of town so I called and asked them to hold it at the terminal!!!

As per Steve today:

"I will call the fed ex guy and see. last Friday I gave him paypal records and a letter about the price of the watch and how many were made. I will call him and see.
Pete, I just talked to the Fed Ex guy and he said it hasn't been released because the guy has to come look at the documentation.
He said the guy will come "tonight" and so nothing will happen until tomorrow.
this whole thing really seams like a California only issue.

Steve"

Really sux but at least you can rest assured that the watch will be on your wrist...eventually...frustrating I know.  On the bright side at least it wasn't "lost".
