Unless you keep it polished it will tarnish over time. Part of the personality of a Bronze watch.

Much better with these hands. I'm assuming that you have a Miyota movement in there and the date wheel for the ETA will be black with white numbers?

Steve Laughlin wrote: Here are some photos after 3 days. I needed a functioning watch if I am going to wear the case around,so I dropped in some parts from the first Moray: a stealth dial because I have an 8215 with a broken date wheel, polished hands because that is all I have available, and a megalodon crown because it fits the threading on the case.... I could try a worldiver crown and that would also work. I had to modify the movement holder to fit the case, but it is a very nice fit now.

I will probably swap out the dial and hands later tonight with my steel Moray, because they are closer to what the final bronze will look like (black dial with c3, black hands with c3). also because as nice as this looks, the black dial and hands with c3 will look much better.

so here we see the patina after 3 days of handling the case with my oily fingers.

Steve...one word for this watch: AMAZING!!!

Steve,

The Black and gold look is very intense.  Drool_27.gif

Any chance of a look at a brown dial and strap?  What color crown would you use?

Jeff

Steve -

Fantastic!  Need to schedule a time to drop by and check it out in person.
