I have the "Stealth" Moray and love it aside from the AR coating.

I was thinking of having it redone with double-sided AR. Has anyone else undertaken this project?

Has anyone removed the crystal from a Moray? Any advice? Does it pop out without having to remove the bezel?

Any advice would be helpful...Thanks in advance!

the crystal is the same on the Stealth as the other Moray, it is the black dial, hands, and hour marks that cause you to notice the light being reflected, which is the same amount of reflecting as the other crystals, just more noticeable with the stealth.

The AR coating is on the inside of the crystal. I am not sure if double AR coating will make much difference.

Thanks for the feedback.  I guess the double coating couldn't hurt...

Let me know if you do it, how it turns out.

We don't put the coating on the outside because salt water or other things will damage it and cause it to come off.

I will post the results once it's done.

I've never had issues with my other watches with outside coating (Breitling, Omega), but then again I'm not a serious diver.

I'm just a recreational user so I'm not rough on my watches...

I second that , no issue with my UN double AR coating and it will be very nice  to have it on Benarus watches

adding AR coating to the outside will only dim the dial and what little lume exisits on the "stealth" Moray... that's not something I would want to do since it is hard enough to see the dial to begin with...
...then it comes down to who is doing the AR coating and what guarantees are offered for it not to wear or chip in a short period of time...my guess is none...
...using Omega,Breitling and UN as examples?.... maybe you forgot how many thousands of dollars those watches cost compared to the $500. Moray.

In my opinion double AR is a PITA for regular use divers...as well as for desk divers. It picks up oils from your fingerprints and maintains an unsightly sheen. This is why most manufacturers only apply to the underside now.
