Hey Steve,

I thought I had heard you mention the possibility of a larger Moray. The current case size is 44mm and I thought there was a thread somewhere that hinted at the possibility of a 46mm or 47mm Moray in 2011.

Can you confirm or deny this?

How does Benarus decide which models to kill and which models to update with multiple editions?  Is it related to customer feedback, designer excitement/ boredom....? I have just been looking at a lot of your older models and wondering why 2nd and 3rd editions haven't been released,  but the moray, megalodon, and remora seem to have endless possibilities?  Do you see these watches almost becoming like automobiles, taking the nameplate in a new evolutionary direction every few years?  Just curious.

Ha ha too funny. Last night as I lay in bed admiring my Moray2 for the 456789th time I was thinking " man..this watch is so perfect I will never need another watch again......" and then just as quickly I thought" oh but hang on the Mike Horne style 47mm might come out this year so I better start saving......" LMFAO

There is a thread somewhere about Steve's thoughts on this possible future watch and I got the inkling he was pretty keen to do it so if I was a betting man I would be betting on Moray 3 being the 47mm *groan*

That's a huge jump from the 44mm Moray 2 which trust me wears BIG on any wrist but hell....go big or go home I say.

That watch in your avatar looks great with the dart dial and the bond nato! I'm really hoping Steve will weigh in here in regards to the 47mm. I've got a 9.5in wrist so 44mm is on the smaller side of watches I usually wear.

We are planning to make 100 44mm Moray 3 watches as well as a 47mm in titanium. The 47mm will be limited to around 20 pieces and will be a higher price than the 44mm, but a bit less in price than the bronze case... which we will also produce around 20 pieces this year. We are in the planning stages right now for the 47mm case, it will need to be built from scratch and finished similar to the bronze, which was machined one at a time, then finished by hand.
