Yea! The new Bronze Morays are available. I  have been waiting forever, it seems, to get a chance at one of these.

I love the brass hands.

I noticed a change in the Bronze alloy. I wonder what effect, if any, it will have on the patina development.

Now the real waiting begins . . .

Exciting stuff! I'm drawn to to the red sun dial as it reminds me of the colour of one of the Ennebi Fondale dials that I've always admired. Going to hold off making a reservation until I can look into the change and reasons behind the change of alloy,

Woo-Hoo...finally (being a late comer, to the boutiue diver party) I can get a Dart!! I do love the red, and had been asking Steve for that...but I'll take my chances, and wait for the stainless version for that...
I'm "in" for a model D, brushed...top grade...it will be a classic!26.gif

http://www.benaruswatches.com/ourwatches/upcoming/bronze.php

We are now accepting reservations for the upcoming Bronze Moray for a limited time. With a reservation and a deposit you will be able to choose your dial color and bezel choice from our designs, and choose a brushed or blasted case finish before we begin production. Production will begin after we turn in the list of design specs that we collect from the customers on the reservation list. Production should take 5-6 months from when we begin.

First Moray Bronze used an alloy which was UNI5275 (same as Anonimo use) the second uses an alloy CuSn8. Anyone know if there is a major difference between the two? Wonder why there was a change.

CuSn8 is also used in bronze watch production and the color is a bit warmer. If you do a quick Google search on "CuSn8" and search "images" you will find the other watch using this alloy.

I'm in but cant decide between the brown dart or numeral dial!! I usually love blue but I think brown dial is perfect for the bronze case!!
I'd love a no date dial:)

I cannot decide on dials either. Was thinking B, F, or N. Now I am thinking B or N as I think these will show off the brass hands better.

Dying to see what shade the red dial is first.

Anyone know if there is a rubberized canvas strap out there? How sweet would that look reminiscent of the old style dive suits.

Ralf had this red dial made with the last batch as a sample. He told me it is difficult to photograph, but here you can see the sun brushing on it.

Wow, very different. Decisions, decisions . . .

Does anyone have a pic of the previous Bronze Moray with a blue dial?

I think if you look at the video that Steve has of the different colors would that help? or are you wanting to see the entire picture?

Regardless there are a few video links on the main Benarus Youtube page where he has a few watches on there...I "thought" there was a blue dial watch but I could be wrong.

Ralf is going to look at a sample of a darker red dial for the few bronze that have been ordered and the upcoming steel Morays. I will post this darker dial when it becomes available.

Same here, similar to one of the Ennebi Fondale dials. Thanks for looking into it

Steve mentioned by email a few days ago, (from which I placed my order) that no more than 50 will be produced, and they will be made in any of those finishes.

So if there is only one person ordering a particular finish it would be very rare???? Thumbsup3.gif

Bezel???

For me the bezel is easy, I want the one with no hash marks--simple, elegant but purposeful.

I can't decide on the dial.

The red one was not what I was hoping for. Maybe it is the photo, but it is not very rich in color for such a nice watch--I wonder if the red dial on the Meg 3 is not this same color?

I am waiting to see what V. 2.0 of the red dial looks like.

Otherwise, I am probably going Brown (Model F)

Thank you everyone who made a reservation. The list is now closed and we have submitted it to the factory for production. We will not keep a back up list of names, but when we have a cancelation we will put it for sale on our website after the reserved watches have shipped.
