This one had a flaw with the PVD finish, so I blasted the case a few times on high psi to get most of it off, it left the steel with a darker grey color than the standard blasted 1km. With the darker finish, and repainted bezel, I added black hands and one of our new dark brown 22mm leather straps. I am very pleased with the outcome on this and it has quickly become one of my favorites.    |

Looks great Steve! And agree on the "titanium look", nice work. Maybe something to consider doing to my PVD megladon in the future? Cause how cool wouldn`t that be, with a darker blasted meg:0) Hmm, that is when and if the PVD wears of enough. And still going strong. thanks guys. The bezel and case are the same shade, the first photo just has bad lighting and makes the bezel look brighter, but it is dark also as you can see in the other photos. |

so I decided to mod my other 1km, this time i started sanding the blasted case down to get it smooth again, then polished it. I swapped the orange hand for 2 white hands and a red second hand. The first one in this post looks like the villain, this one looks like the Sheriff. original 1km:  modded:      polishing a blasted case was quite a job. |

I can't imagine how long it took you to polish the whole case! I remember how long it took me to polish the sides and caseback on my 6309 mod. I'll never do that again! |
