Just gave up the funds for my 3 Meg 3s!  Really looking forward to receiving them and seeing what the new packaging looks like (as well as the pieces of course) and the new rubber straps. Thanks again for sharing the pics & kudos to you & Ralf on the success of such an outstanding Diver timepiece (& Brand).

This is still my favorite way to wear a Meg. If you have never tried and are looking for a comfortable secure way to wear your Meg, try a ZULU strap. We are looking to get some of our own that we can offer in the future. We are trying to find them a bit longer as many suppliers sell them around 10 inches. We are trying to get them around 12 or 13 inches long.

Nice packaging on the new Megs. I am dying to see mine! Interesting you mention the zulu, I was thinking about trying to find one with a red stripe to go with my new PVD Meg 3 with the red dial when it gets here.

I'm at a slight geographical advantage over everyone here...

At any rate, I couldn't resist.  Just got it earlier today, and got to meet the man himself.  You won't be disappointed!  This thing is a tank.

The Megs are hot! Unfortunately, I may never see one on my wrist due to the size. Steve, since the Moray case was updated to a 47mm, will we ever see the Megs go down to 44-45mm? Congrats Steve and Ralf. Another winner.

Hey there Steve,

I know that you are super-busy with filling orders...but, curiosity has gotten the better of me...do have a compiled list of the different Meg 3 configurations as to Model Number (A-R) making up the 150 total pieces?  Also, just curious as to why the Meg 3 casebacks do not state the number out of 150 like the previous 2 series (series 1, out of 100 and series 2, out of 150)?  Thanks and Have a good one.

 Kindly, ThumbsUp02.gif

From the evidence here so far, I think this collection of dial colors is super strong--not that there were any dogs in the Meg 1 or Meg 2 collection. Ralph and Steve just keep getting stronger with each new watch and release.

Yes!  This watch was definitely worth the wait.  You have to see one of these in person to get the full effect, the watch has such presence, it definitely deserves a name like Megalodon.  It's a monster.  The case is nice and deep which gives the dial of the watch a lot of depth.  The lume is so bright it could almost be used as a flashlight.  The case is nice and heavy and the finish of the watch is flawless.  I've owned a couple of more expensive Swiss watches and this is right up there in terms of quality.  The new rubber strap fits the watch perfectly and is super comfortable and, strangely enough, smells like vanilla.  It's actually a very strong vanilla scent which makes me wonder if this was intentional.

I was afraid that the watch might be too big for my 6.5" wrist but, besides getting used to the extra weight, it fits perfectly.  I swapped out the steel bracelet with the rubber strap at first so I can get used to it.  I've been wearing a Stowa the past few months, and that's light as a feather, so this is a bit of an adjustment.  I'm glad I went with the PVD/Ceramic combo, it gives the dial a lot of contrast and the white ceramic is spotless.  The lume parts of the dial have a matte finish which contrasts nicely with the glossy ceramic.

Great job Steve and Ralf, for producing such an excellent watch, I couldn't be happier with it.  This is my first Benarus watch and I have a feeling it won't be my last.

I see that with a 6.5 inch wrist the lugs do not overhang past your wrist edge. I have a 6.75 inch wrist and have been afraid to try the Megs out, but now I will reconsider. Thanks for posting. Gerald.

    Steve,

As you know, I have been on the fence on purchasing a Megalodon for over 2 years. I have asked so many members here on their take and also their wrist sizes so that I may compare to mine. I went as far as to beg you to possibly consider a 44-45mm Meg(which by the way, I will still purchase just in case you come out with them).

I got lucky in snatching my FIRST Megalodon, an OT edition, after some unfulfilled reservations.

Well, I must say, I can't believe the fit and finish/quality of this watch for the price. I now can see that if you make a smaller version, it will not have the same MEG effect. Man, the size of the Meg is at home on my 6.75 inch wrist---no overhang and it fits as if it was custom made for my wrist. I actually like the simple bezel on the OT edition more so than the regular ones with the minute markers although they are also cool. This OT version IMO is very rich aesthetically and will be cool with Jeans and Khakis.

Thank you Steve and all the members who were kind enough to share pictures and wrist sizes! You guys gave me the confidence to take a chance on the Meg and am happy I did.

    happy guy.gifhappy guy.gif

    Regards,

    Gerald

Congrats Gerald on picking up a very limited production Meg (only 20 made)...very gr8 choice for your 1st Meg (an OT version).  Much enjoyment wearing it and hopefully, you'll post a few pics showing it off?  Have a good one and Happy Collecting ALL.

The red dial is a real favourite of mine and when combined with a polished case & bracelet - fabulous!
