After building my first Radiomir Hommage with only asian parts, I felt like doing it again but this time with a swiss ETA 6497 movement, a Luminor hommage titanium case and a sapphire crystal. Learnt a lot on the first build, so this one was a lot easier (still some minor things to work around, but easier 4 sure) ![]() ![]() Here the two DIY projects are together ... ![]() Had the most problem on this last one with the stem, as I cut it just a tad to short after fiddelig about with it for quite some time. But luckily I hat two more 6497 stems in reserve, so the 2. time around I was spot on (more or less) Must say, a normal screw in crown is MUCH easier than the flip lock thing on this one.

![]() Also been regulating my own watches lately, and slowly working up the nerve to pop open the Emperor for a fine tuning of the 8L35. Will post pictures of the process when and if I find the courage to do it.

If only I had better eyes and lots more patience, I'd surely dismantle a Seiko and rebuild it again even if it takes me days to do it. I'm scheduled for a laser operation of my eyes next month and maybe after that, I'll attempt something like what you 2 guys have done ![]() ![]() ![]()

Too cool, Rolf! ![]() Watch projects are great fun. Ended up with a parnis "homage" a while back and have been fiddling with it off and on. I refinished the dial, and have had the hands hanging outside on a string for the last couple of months to get a worn-look. While taking the shine off I broke the second hand, and haven't yet found one that costs less than what I paid for the watch! ![]()

Thank you very much Scott! Much appreciated. Gotta say that "hanging hands on a string outside" you got going sounds interesting. Might just try that, cause have been thinking about "vintag`ing" the radiomir hommage. Now I just need to try to get my strap making close to your level, `cause they are the standard imho!![]()

Man that's nice to hear, thank you! I found a hand-set including the second hand for $10 shipped, should be here in a week or so. When it gets here I'll post some pics of the new with the "garden variety" ![]()
