Hello all
I have a growing interest in watches and would like to ask for some advice.
I have recently sold a Dubey & Schaldenbrand which I eventually found a little too showy. I also recently sold a Breitling Navitimer World with Champagne face which I loved but needed to raise some funds.
I have been looking at Zeno, Revue Thommen and Davosa and wonder if these brands are worth looking at as a budget option as funds are low and I have no watch.
I have seen some on Ebay but I know so little I am reluctant to buy just yet.
Any advice please?

Welcome to 3T...and the answer is yes!  You might want to pick out a few watches you are interested in and post them.  I'm sure that we have either owned them in the past or have experience with them!

Hi KenC
Thanks for the quick reply.
I am at the start of my journey with this so there are lots of interesting models to me.
I am really needing to buy "cheap" and get a bargain as I want to buy something that I will be happy with and try to keep the price around $500. I am keeping an eye on Ebay in Australia where I will hopefully be able to put any good advice to good use.

I will keep my eys open for pics, are there any threads on jere that will help with pics?

Welcome...

As an owner of both a Davosa and two Zenos, I am sure that you will find a great watch to fit your budget.

Thanks for that.
I think the watch on the right will be closest to what I am looking for.
Do these things come along on the used market very often?

You can go through most any board on the forum and find pics. The search feature is good too. But you can start with these 3 boards and find allot of pics from members. ;)

Hey jackrinse!

Welcome to this fun and friendly place! As you can already see - there are some fantastic characters here who really know their stuff, and who will happily assist whenever possible.

That Zeno retro looks the business. Found one similar here at: http://cgi.ebay.com/Swiss-Made-Zeno-Watch-Basel-Mens-Pilot-Retro-Automatic_W0QQitemZ320227894352QQihZ011QQcategoryZ111652QQtcZphotoQQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I have no experience with the seller, but the business name hasn't appeared on any "never buy from here" lists that I am aware of... and his shipping price is like a first-class airfare! The one I have directed you to is a 40mm which is 43mm with the crown - not the same model as chickhazzard's Zeno Pilot?

Anyway - good luck with your search, have fun on the site and welcome from sunny Western AustraliaThumbsUp02.gif

And chick - those are some nice lookin' Zeno's!

Cheers - IanM
