I'm a long-time lurker and some-time poster on several other watch forums. Found this one while talking myself into buying a new strap that's been fairly heavily discussed on this forum. So I came across TimeTechTalk through Google. But from what I've seen so far, it was definitely worth registering and introducing myself.

As you can tell from the subject line, I live in Denver. I've lived here nearly all my life, outside of the first year of my life and about seven years at the beginning of my career.

Here's a shot of my collection as it stands now, minus a Suunto I wear while skiing to measure my total descent and minus a Seiko Samurai orange-dial. Thanks for looking, and hello to all!

Jon

Hi Jon! Welcome aboard. I've never been to Colorado, but hear it's a great place. 3T's a great place too. Enjoy your stay.

Welcome to 3T.  I've skiied virtually every mountain in Colorado from Crested Butte to A-Basin to Steamboat.  What a beautiful state.  I'll be going to the 1st Infantry Division Reunion in Colorado Springs in August!

Nice watches!

Thanks for the warm welcome!

KenC, you've done much better than me as far as where you've skied. I've not made it to some of the more isolated resorts around the state, but I'm kind of a regular at Winter Park/Mary Jane and Copper Mountain. A-Basin is great, and I love the skiing at Vail but it's far from my favorite mountain town.

Thanks again, guys -- I look forward to spending some more time on this site.

I certainly prefer Aspen to Vail...much better that Vail IMO, especially the long run from the top of Aspen Highlands to the bottom...great blacks and fast blues.  Copper Mountain is one of the best...and Ajax in Aspen  (home of "No Guts, No Glory" - or, as I like to say, "No Guts, No Guts") is awesome.

What I like about Steamboat is it is kinda unavailable to the day or weekend skier, and has tremendous lift capacity...and tree skiing the Chutes is awesome...I must admit, I have not been for awhile.

I'm almost embarrassed to admit that in 30-plus years of living and 20-plus years of skiing in Colorado, I've never skied at Steamboat, Telluride or Crested Butte. I keep saying ``next season,'' but that's sort of like the joke signs you see hanging in some bars that say ``free beer tomorrow,'' it never really happens.
