Hello to all,

I actually have been a member for a while but lost the bookmark and just recently rediscovered it in a Orsa watch search.  Once discovered I was shortly "pruned" out of the site and couldn't look at it due to being inactive. My MANY thanks to the moderator for fixing this issue allowing me to post.

I have been an avid watch collector for about 2 years. My main love is the auto diver, but I as many others, I do not dive. I have mostly Seiko divers, but have two Orsa military styled watches. I appreciate that they are great fit and quality, and that they are less common than the mass produced Seiko's.

I have been looking at the new released Sea Anglers (orange) and have gotten the bug. If any are let I'm gonna pull the trigger.

Any advice on quartz or auto??????????? I know they are both great watches from several reviews. Any input would be appreciated,

Thanks to all,

Todd H.

Welcome back Todd. Orsa's are a great watch. I have one of the mil types and was also impressed impressed with the fit and finish vs pricepoint.

Welcome to 3T again. You'll have a harder time waitng for an automatic Sea Angler as production is very limited. You might see something pop up on the secondary market, though.

Well, Todd...I am a "mechanical" kinda guy...and rant and rave against many quartz watches, especially those "premium" brands who think their quartz pieces merit $1,000 plus price tags.  That said, I do own a couple of nice quartz watches.  They are wonderful timepieces and I think that the quartz ORSA Sea Angler at $200 is one hell of a deal...and a great watch!
