Being a good SWO Canadian myself (Windsor Ontario)

Thank god I don't live near this place.  But I know the show is based out of Saskatchewan.  Flattest place on earth and if ya love farms its the place to be.  I am glad I live 5 min away from Detroit Michigan.  I can bail outta here anytime I like.  I personally can't stand to watch the show I find it dry.   Like if you lick a stick of antiperspirant.  LOL

“Corner Gas” is an award-winning sitcom on Canadian TV since 2003.  It was created by/for Canadian standup comic Brent Butt, much the same way “Seinfeld” began.  The show follows the daily antics of Butt (“Brent Leroy”) and his relatives, coworkers, and friends, as they bumble through life in the fictional Saskatchewan farm town of Dog River.  Filming takes place mostly in Rouleau, a small town south of Moose Jaw and Regina.

WGN took note of the program’s success and bought the U.S. cable rights, airing episodes every weekday night (9 p.m. PT) for the past year.  We watch the show every night as a light comedy diversion (heavy on the COM, light on the SIT).  It takes 2-3 episodes to get into the flow and humor of the show (after all, it IS Canadian!), but then
you’re hooked!

I dunno...I see a southeastern Ontario and a western Ontario, but no southwestern Ontario.  Semantics?

Well being a Left Coaster and transplanted to the foothills I've spent some time in Sask. I learned that it's not all flat, it's got a surprising amount of large holes in it (coulees).  I'd be walking along some farmers field and -whoops- who put this 80 ditch here with a creek in the bottom of it!? subtlelaugh.gif   Can't say I've made it to SW Ontario at all. That'll have to be next on my list.  I'll be sure to bring a map!
