Dear Tech Talk members,

i am new to this board. Live in Arlington, Texas. Old Guy (57) and a certified watch enthusiest. I have owned many watches over the years. mainly Rolex subs and Datejusts, Tag Heuer, luminox, etc.

My other interests are Chevy Muscle Cars and Harley Davidson motorcycles.

Just sold my '81 Datejust. looking for an inexpensive diver tool watch with a swiss

2824 movement or a valjoux 7750. Life has its ups and downs and mine does

not include a Rolex at this time. Considering the Boschett , Tissott seastar and

a couple of other "Sub" styles. Inputs are appreciated.

current list in the fold:

Rolex Cellini 1971 18kt dress watch -inherited from my dad

Luminox navy seal, 2 movado quartz.

side note: my 23 year old son just inherited his great grandfathers' 1961

Rolex GMT.  way way cool.

best,

Dusty

Welcome Dusty, post often....

You can't go wrong with the Boschett Reef Ranger, I own two of them, and I know Keith still has some left.  If you don't have to have the ETA movement I highly recommend the new Cave Dweller with the Miyota movement, probably one of the nicest dive watches I've seen.

Welcome to 3T.:D I'm high on the Cave Dweller at the moment. Kick ass tool, killer bracelet and a dependable Miyota movement keeps the price extremely reasonable.
