Hi. I'm just another watch geek. I've been researching Orsa watches and came across you guys. I figured I'd sign up so I could see and read all the stuff that the uninitiated don't get to see. As for myself I'm 36, married, former active Army Infantryman, now part-time: I'm an Electrician at my day job and I Love watches and firearms, much to my wifes consternation. I'll mostly be lurking but will contribute if I feel it adds to the conversation.

I'm not set up to post pics, sorry. I wear an Omega Seamaster Professional on a daily basis when not working. I also have a Kronos Benrus hommage, a Navy SEALs Luminox and a replica Seamaster that I picked up on the bay for grins and giggles. It has a VERY nice movement. I have also purchased for family members a Zodiac diver with a third hand GMT, that one went to my 18yr old son. I bought my dad an MWC G10 and he seems to like it very much. He's hard on his watches and will wear them till they fall off. I also purchased a Swiss Army ladies for my wife and a Wenger Chronograph for my 16yr old. I'm looking a maybe an Orsa Military to take on deployment with me, but I'm also looking at an O&W 3095 Pilot.

Welcome to 3T, Murph...and thank you for your service to out country!

DEFINITION OF A VETERAN

A veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard, or reserve - is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to The 'United States of America', for an amount of 'up to and including my life.' That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.

Thanks for all the welcomes. I've spent a lot of time on here the last couple of days doing research and looking around. The main thing I've noticed is that this forum seems like a warm welcoming place. I like what I've seen so far and just from the previous posts I've read, you guys are alright. Everybody seems friendly and any sort of rivalry is all very friendly and good natured. This looks like a comfortable and friendly place to be, Thanks guys. I have a question for Ken. Where is/was 1/16 Inf? It sounds familiar, but I can't seem to place it. It may just be similar to another unit I've been near, but you never know, the Army is a small world especially the Infantry.
