Hello all, I've been looking at the posts as an outsider, so I thought it was finally time to join and introduce myself. I am what you would call a newbie, so please be patient if I ask a dumb question somewhere along the line.

I figured it was the right time to start collecting, since I am only 24, but just purchased a Hamilton Khaki King over the weekend. Not quite rich enough to hang with the big boys, but its a start. This will go well with the Zodiac ZO2112 that I got for Christmas from my folks (I really love the look of the split orange and silver dial, and I know its not an automatic, but still a sweet look).

If anyone is into collecting cds, I'm the man to talk to; earlier this summer I hit the 1,000 cd mark (thank you amazon and eBay, not to mention used stores), and let me tell you, they are hard to keep organized in an apartment. Anyway, sorry for the long introduction, but I wanted to say a bit more than just "hi".

Mark

Three or four years ago I knew so little about watches .... I remember that I thought the second hand sweeps according to the brand of watch not because its quartz or auto movement, etc. ..................... The most fun I have had in this addiction is learning so much so fast and the second best is the great people you meet in this forum and in the watch world .......  A BIG WELCOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm in the Kalamazoo area, Portage to be exact. Right now I'm just buried under this winter storm that we got which dumped 6 inches of snow on us last night, and apparently road crews don't like working on a holiday, because driving around has been horrible. Always nice to meet another fellow Mittenite.
