Im not a strapmaker, but i got this idea of making a Nato strap out of Mylar. Before i actually continue putting some more work into it, i would appreciate some feedback from everyone. 1. Is it worth trying? 2. Would it look too ridiculous? (Especially on the Moonwatch!). 3. Should i use a old nato strap for stiffness or a piece of thin foam? Also, tips are welcome! Here is a photo of the Mylar. ![]() Attachment: NATO_Mylar.jpg (Downloaded 22 times) |

Hmmmmmm......mylar? Maybe I wouldn't do it, Patrik. Maybe you could supply a better picture with a shot taken at an oblique angle so I can see some grain, if any, on the material. |

Nevermind....I did a few tests by just gluing the mylar ontop of an old nato. It does not look as good as i imagined. At least not for grown ups. Add a catface and the text "Hello Kitty", and it will be a hit with the girls. What the H*** was i thinking?!! ![]() ![]() |
