The case backs are made separately, then screwed on after engraving, it would be very time consuming to put on the case backs and mark each one individually as to which point is the top, I am not even sure it can be done, My Rolex crown and case back are not lined up when screwed down. The Omega Sea Master is not lined up either. It is not economical to try and get it lined up, because even if you think you have the method figured out, they will still probably not line up when tightened all the way down.

That alignment happens on many models. Would not worry at all.

Come on,,,, people how can you compare a 42mm Raven to a Rolex. To even try and compare these two is insane, or even brains minus. I hate Rolex watches but many say that there the best watch or one of the best time-pieces in the world i don't say that but many professional people do say that. And again a watch company thats making its own in-house caliber/movement compared to a company that doesn't make its own in-house movement. And your going to say that when Raven v's Sea dweller, that Raven wins. Sorry Raven fans but yr wrong. To say Raven wins is insane. Raven has been around for what the best of 5 years without being QUOTED !!! againast another watch company that has been around for 75 or more years. Even that alone speaks for itself. Will Raven last as long as what Rolex has lasted already. I Doubt it. Sorry to all those Raven Fan-Boys/Steve but this is fact. Well...this post is over 2 1/2 years old, but I think the original intent of the post was to very simply show the dimensional comparisons between the Raven and a very well known 40mm Rolex. I see exactly one 'raven wins' post up at the top, but the collection of posts in this topic don't seem at all to be Fan-boys posts or directly trying to compare in-house movements to non-in-house, etc. Many people here own both Raven and Rolex models and enjoy them all (I actually own both of these specific models, and enjoy them BOTH immensely). You seem to be getting yourself all riled up here for no good reason...I'm just sayin'. Have you had a bad experience with the Raven brand personally??? I would say that anyone that owns (or has owned) a Raven or Benarus would say you get an extreme amount of great bang-for-the-buck with the brand...they are very well executed and very well made (with killer lume performance I might add).

have to agree with Chris, don't think this 2 year old threads intent was ever to say the Raven was better or as good as a Seadweller, but rather to compare specs by someone who own both, who in this case was Steve.I also own both and the similarities stop at the aesthethics,as is the case which Steve intended to provide us with his comparison pics imho...will a Raven last as long as a Rolex...only time will tell.![]() ...Now on the other hand it appears we have an expert in madaboutarmid?...perhaps you would like to share your collection and knowledge with us,so we know where you are coming from,or are you just a troll? ![]()

The comparo was just on size, heft, dimensions etc. I own both, by the way, and the size of the Raven is just so nice to see versus the SD.
