I had an opportunity to pick up this "like-new" Kazimon 1500 on the secondary market about a week ago and I'm very glad I did!!!  This is a small batch, 100% German built watch by Kazim Kenzo at Kazimon Watches.  (Anyone know how many total 1500's that Kazim built??? - I would sure like to know).

Basic specs from Kazim:

  • KAZIMON 1500
  • Waterproof up to 1500 Meters
  • 42 mm Stainless Steel without crown
  • 22 mm lug width
  • 8 mm Crown
  • 4 mm Sapphire Glass
  • Auto Helium Release Valve
  • 2824-2 ETA with incabloc
  • Elastically supported movement
  • Stainless steel movement holder
  • Double sealing on case
  • Blue superlume on dial and hands - (Outer bezel contains Black and Red Lume which is very subtle - ie. not a blaze of lume at night).
  •

Being a 1500m rated watch, it is quite thick...I measure just over 15.5mm to the top of the bezel, and just over 16.5mm to the top of the domed sapphire crystal!!!thumbsup.gif  So despite the 42mm diameter case, this is one very solidly built, stocky piece and the relatively thick overall thickness gives this one some very nice wrist presence.

If you have seen Oscar's posts on the 1500, you know that this is a very high quality built piece.

I'm liking this one a whole lot, and have been enjoying wearing it on the very high quality ss mesh from Kazimon.  I put it on a Sinn Rubber deployment strap lately which suites this piece very, very nicely and fits the case like a glove.  I expect that this one will also do some time on a nice thick leather strap and some Nato/Zulu combos...this one seems to work very nicely with a wide variety of straps so far.

Here are a few pics (on the mesh & on the Sinn rubber) -

    A couple Lume shots -

Excellent, Chris! Even your post today of the Anonimo. 16.5mm on a 42mm case really adds heft and bulk and that really is a great proportional link.

On the straps, I like it best on mesh as you showed and followed aesthetically by an Airborne red Zulu in 5 righ lowlite. I think that would be an unbeatable combo anytime, anyday.

Big Congrats, amigo. Enjoy it in good healthThumbsup3.gif
