So while I was doing a patina treatment on my bronze Moray, I decided to "distress" my PVD Moray also. I like the results.

Very nice. I might have to give this a try on one of my pvd moray.

What did you use? A scotch brute pad?

Yes, I used a well worn scotchbrite pad and then a cape cod cloth to smooth it out some.

Very well done jswing!!! Thumbsup3.gif

The results give it a nice broken in and vintage feel...I like it alot and the strap combo is perfect as well! thumbsup.gif

I think I remember Steve from Benarus doing this on one of his pvd pieces some time ago.

Enjoy that great combo!

Very KEWL outcome, jswing...it looks as if you've had that piece in your collection for quite some time (nice work!).  Thanks for sharing your pics.  Have a good one and Happy Collecting ALL.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the positive feedback, wasn't sure how well this would go over, but I knew I liked it. I'm thinking of stitchng this strap with some black thread but am on the fence as I kind of like it stitchless too. I did hear that Steve did something similar to one of his PVDs also, would love to see his.

Yes I did this on a Moray 1 and I still have it. I will have to take some new pictures, it is still one of my favorite watches to wear.

I used 1000 grit water sand paper, on the corners, edges, creases.

I've never been a fan of PVD, but that one could change my mind -- looks great.
