At last, I post it here: It's about over a month since I mounted it but I never took the time to announce it in this topic... I had parts I've been collecting for a while and since I started to mount my watches myself, I thought that I should give it a try with this little cocktail of Chinese parts and Swiss movement 6497-1 "hammered surface finish". I like the result and putted it on home-made straps where the holes are showing a light tanned reindeer skin...    |

I will not take credit for the sub-sea welding those guys do. In 2005 after being piping and welding during 13 years on land, I gave it up to focus only on piping and torquing for the oil industry. Just waiting now to get in the North Sea to test some watches for you guys... But for sure, there's a big difference between torquing bolts at thousands Newton/meters and setting small screws in a watch  |

I know the post is old.... But are these watches readily available from Home experts? I see some from a guy named Drudy. Just wonder how one can get a custom beauty made and be sure it has the eta parts. Not wanting a replica but some in this forum are just amazing to see. Hats off to the masters. Dang nice work. |

I had 3 movements 6497-1 so I did it myself.T There´s always a personal relation with the watch when you mounted it yourself... |
