Just saw these pics of an A1 special ordered with what appears to be the dial and hands that will be delivered with the bronze A1.
I was under the impression that the markers would be printed in gold too, then lumed. Not great looking as it is IMO. Thinking of this with the green dial heading my way :(
I guess it's a good thing to find out now; better than being let down when the watch arrives.
Any chance that the markers will be printed in the same color as outer track?

Hard to judge by that pic Scott imo...the dot/stick markers are full lume, exactly as on all the A1's...that's what I was expecting with the bronze A1,and expect it will look awesome with the bronze case and bezel, combined with the brass hands ,gold print, and hash markers!....try to envision this watch pictured as all bronze, and not all SS on a SS bracelet...I can't wait to get mine, cuz I know it will look awesome..ThumbsUp02.gif

I think that's a pretty attractive watch.  I give it a thumbs up!

Agreed, the white outlines around the lume deposits should be gold too.

are you sure? Look at the markers in the first picture.
You can see they're printed in white then lumed.
I asked about this when Chris was posted the idea of a bronze A1.

I don't think it's too much to hope for Scott, but at the same time I think you will be more than pleased with the dial/hands combo that you see here with the full Bronze A1.

I agree that it looks like the dial dot/stick markers are printed in white, and then lume is applied on top so that you have a small white border around the lume, but I think it looks fine...even with the outer track printed in guilt/gold.  I think if you are going after the full guilt look, you are probably trying to emphasize a 'vintage' vibe, but I've seen it done both ways (The MKII Kingston for example has the guilt/gold print under the lume markers to match the outer track...the Raven Vintage has a dial like the one shown here with the outer track in guilt and the lume markers outlined in white, and it looks just fine to me). peace.gif

Take the variety of Bronze pieces from a really boldly styled Ennebi Fondale line where you see all types of hand colors and finishes mixed with white insignia print and vintage lumed markers.  Everyone will have their preference for sure, but there are all sorts of combinations that are being produced out there for sure.

Yeah, although IMO it would look better by miles with gold borders, best to just let it be :)
I think it's a matter of not being able to apply the lume precisely enough to have an even border.

I like the way this looks..What I was hoping for was a PVD A-1 bracelet. I have the green dial with PVD crown coming, and think it would look pretty hot on a PVD bracelet..

I have a Raven. I like the watch very much, but I do wish the markers were gold trimmed as well...

Also, that big crystal is a magnet for doorknobs. I know its a vintage homage, but there is a reason sapphire has become the standard.mistake.gif

The dome is sapphire. Never had a problem with knocking into things with the A1, and hear that concern fairly often on the forums. Sometimes I think folks that are running into doorways, desks, and doorknobs might be better off wearing a helmet...or at least slowing down a bit!
