Hello Friends,

It's been a rough year for many of us. I've been retired from the Watch Industry, for exactly three years ago this month.

The last time I was on this forum, I shared with my Girard-Perregaux 14kt Gents Tank timepiece along with my 1962 Wyler-Vetta Incaflex Watch, in stainless steel.

I decided not to buy another watch, but instead had my Girard-Perregaux sent back to Switzerland for a factory service and restoration, in September 2020.

The total bill came just shy of €1,199.

Amd the the result is...

Any before shots?

What was the time turnaround?

Did they restore the dial?

@ MKirchharr:

The before images can be found under New Arrivals dated Dec.12,2017.

I had send the watch out during the first two weeks of September. The estimate arrived by email on Nov.22 I forwarded my "go ahead" at 1PM, PST.

Girard-Perregaux Switzerland, was closed for Christmas from Dec. until early Feb. The watch arrived on April 11th by DHL, to Richmond, B.C. Canada.

The dial was a factory restoration, along with servicing of the Caliber 91 and polishing of the watch case.

I'm doing well with all things considering. Just recently bought a new condo for my dad and I.

I haven't been around much on 3-T since my retirement. The prices of Vintage Watches have increased quite alot over the past 4 years.

Kind regards,
Simon
