The last watch that I acquired in which I have not posted pics or comments about is the Super Eterna Kon Tiki. There is something about wearing a watch that wreacks of history and considering the age of the watch, its in good condition. I took off the rice bead bracelt, have never been a fan of rice bead whether on this watch or any other and placed a kevlar band, similar to the one on the Panerai submersible, in this case a 20mm. While this watch is rare in itself, to get one with an orange dial and bezel is unbelieveable.

So far so good.

That is a beautiful timepiece. Did you take any pics of it with the bracelet still on it? Would love to see what it looks like on the rice bead. hand6.gif

Nice, I really like rice bead bracelets. Probably my favorite type of bracelet.

Bill .... that watch kicks ass  hand6.gifhand6.gifhand6.gifhand6.gifhand6.gif

I looked at one like that off the elite deal seeker , but the seller had listed it looking to trade, and he had it "packaged" with another watch I didnt want .....is that the same watch? Because I find it hard to believe a watch that rare comes up for sale more than once in a bluemoon..... I love the Kontiki's and the history they have is bar-none ...your collection is spectacular

Actually the seller, a friend of mine, wanted to trade the following watches for cash and a dive watch, he indicated that he was looking for an Aquastar Benthos 1 1000m or a Doxa Sub 600T Graph both of which I have, but I did not want to trade. I asked him how much cash he wanted, I agreed:

The watches I got:

Scubapro 500m

Eterna Super Kon Tiki

Both of these watches are extremely rare, if you google Scubapro, nothing comes up, its that rare. I was not so thrilled about the Eterna Super Kon Tiki until I got it and bonded with both watches fast. Size wise, they are almost the same, the scubapro wear like a vintage Omega mid-sized dive watch and has heft to it.

Thanks for your interest.
