Received this info in a e-mail this morning....This is what you get when js and Eyal get involved in helping resolve a problem....apparently this member of another forum purchased a original SubAqua meteorite dial watch that had a rusty dial...after months of waiting to receive his prized watch back here's what he received...look closely at the V in the Invicta on the dial....and here is some JS/BS that went alongcoyote2.gif

I am glad to have helped. I know Eyal is also very happy to see how much you love the watch.

I think it was an outstanding gesture for him to do this. For those that don't know... this is not the new Reserve M-SA, this is an original, and they have not been made for over 3 years at this point. When I approached Eyal on Kevins behalf the problem was that the dial had to be completely replaced... and of course there are no more Meteorite dials for the original size (and layout) of the Subaqua.

Eyal commissioned a ONE-OFF Meteorite dial to be made in that older (smaller) size, appointed with the same dial markings and indices as the original. I don't even want to think about how much a one-off piece like this cost. But Eyal was happy to do it, and did so very quickly. It took less than a month for the dial to be cut, and fit into the watch.

When I saw it my jaw dropped. As kevin's picture shows... it is IMO the most outstanding Meteorite dial you can imagine, and THE finest one I have personally seen. The detail is striking.

Enjoy the watch my friend. You went through a lot on this one, and you deserve to enjoy it.

I think what's more interesting might be where this watch came from... this piece may have caused a furor at another forum... if it is the same watch.

Oh the e-mails that I could share........  It is the same watch.   I sold it to Kevin - AKA  Dxomas an Admin at that other watch fora.    I could stir the pot, but I have lost enough time and money on that watch.

I am Glad, that it is finally over, and that Kevin is finally happy with is watch.  Selling a watch to an Admin has to be my "biggest WIS mistake".

I am still not allowed to post there anymore Can't log in to the forums either.  Thanks for posting that Oscar,  I would have never seen it,  I  already heard about it from one of the friends that I have over there.

Reminds me of the famous NVICTA watch of a few years ago.....I imagine that Eyal commissioned this ONE-OFF meteorite dial by finding it in his desk drawer.  The result is typical of Invicta's commitment to quality control and to customer service.

It is one of those things that happens (frequently with Invicta) in which you don't know wheter to laugh or cry!  To paraphrase the Paxman...........INVICTA STILL SUCKS!

Just checked it out, man thats funny. Someone on the thread actually mentioned it in a positive light which befuddles me. Its one thing when you cant keep QC in production line watches, yet another when the CEO of the company requests something and still cant get it right. I would tell Eyal Yoyo about this and not just suck it up if I were the owner.

Just a thought, do you think the person that applied the V did it on purpose and finds it very funny.

While I'm getting as much of a chuckle out of this as the rest of us, anyone care to venture what this unique, 'collectors' item would go for on ebay? subtlelaugh.gif

No..............as I cannot imagine an Invicta, under any circumstances, being considered a collectors Item..................as to "uniqueness", I believe that Invicta manufacturers (and I use the term ever so loosely) too many "unique" items for any single item to be considered out-of-the-norm for them.

According to that thread it seems it was done on purpose by Eyal to create a true one of a kind piece....Hmm I am not sure whether or not that is spin by Eyal or legit....IM a pessimist when it comes to Mr. Eyal Yoyo. As long as the owner of the watch is happy, thats a good thing!
